I can't find the shoes in this promo and I'm losing my mind.

I just spent five hours trying to find these shoes with no luck for the G8F. I've found similar shoes but not these exact ones and this specific shoe is used in a lot of Zeddicuss's pormos but sadly he never lists what shoe that is in the promo credits.

 

 

I'm losing my sanity here. crying

    The female slip ons look like Fads for V4 & La Femme at Rendo. There are Fads for Genesis 3 but they have laces

    3D Universe includes a number of different laced sneakers in his various bundle packs as part of the outfits.

    There's also these, but getting them to play nice with Genesis 8 autofit could be an issue...

    I'm guessing you were focusing on the other shoe though.  That looks like the Fads for V4 suggested above.  Might be something along those lines buried somewhere on poserdazfreebiies.mirahaze.org...

    Wow it really is the Fads Slipons for LF! I didn't even think about the shoe being a Poser item...

     

    If I import the shoe into DAZ Studio, would the autofit do a decent job? I've only tried using G/G2/G3 stuff on G8F and it usually looks good, but never something that wasn't made for Studio.

    Sometimes autofitting to Genesis (1) first helps, then re-autofitting to Genesis 8 from there.  But with shoes, with the pose change between Genesis 1-3 and 8, I've ran into issues more often than not.

    Others have had better luck with that than I have though.  Perhaps they could suggest a step by step guide suggestion for more successful autofitting of older shoes...

    You should probably get the V4 version rather then La Femme

    Yes, definitely a better idea for 2 reasons:

    • V4 does work properly in DS, while La Femme doesn't due to her using poser-style weightmapping
    • There are autofit clones for V4 to the various versions of Genesis

    Shoes from V4 to G3/G8 can be iffy, but sneakers like that, with flat soles and simple profiles, are more likely to work than most shoes.

    When you run across something for LaFemme, particularly if the vendor is RPublishing, it currently makes sense to check the vendor store. They've released a lot of refits of popular items for her, but the originals are still in the store if you scroll back far enough. These came out anything up to a couple of years ago.

    Yeah, I'd get the v4 version for sure, but tbh there are a lot of similar shoes here that are native to Studio and come with G8 support. I think it would be a lot easier to just buy them here and not deal with luck in conversions.


    Any suggestions for the most popular/HQ shoe that's similar to the Fads Slip on from the marketplace here?

    I can't help with the shoe problem, but the losing of your mind thing I can definitely help you with...

    Unless you don't want to lose your mind... that's not my thing, so you're on your own if you are interested in sanity, which by the way is highly overrated.

    The first thing people will tell you about mind losing is that you don't want to just dive in, but you have to ease into it like a hot bath... but that's a common misconception which is often repeated by non-professional loonies... what you really want to do is embrace your impending insanity... embrace it like you'd embrace a rabid badger as you bungee jump off Mount Everest naked, covered in honey... grab that insanity and soak it up... bask in it... revel in your new found mindlessness.

    The shoe can wait, enjoy this new phase of your life... it's pretty great.

    H&C Skinny Jeans Outfit comes with a pair of shoes that look very similar. But they don't come in pink. It's meant for Daz and fits Genesis 8 figures.
