The Alchemist - Wow, what an incredible range of options

Holy cow. Has anyone else looked inside this new set of products and seen all the unique options? Dirty feet. Muddy feet. Ink-stained fingers. Dirty hands. Alchemical tatoos. Cataract textures for the eyes! Not to mention some pretty cool morphs to use for mixing, though that's not as much of a surprise as Ollie's already one of my favorite G8M mixing elements. Add in a unique set of hair items as a companion product and thisis a pretty amazing DAZ debut for The Alchemist.

I think he's one of the most unique characters we've seen hit the store in a while other that isn't a monster or creature. Don't get me wrong, I love my monsters and creatures, but real people are good, too. I'm hoping for good things from this new vendor. He or she is starting off with a great character. I love the hair set that goes with him, too.

I completely agree. I was surprised that there wasn't a thread started when I checked earlier in the day. Not just the attention to detail within the products, but also the detail in the promo images. They are awesome! Showing off how the character can be used for totally different scenerios.
One of the best sets of promos since the original George.
The hair is awfully tempting, but Iray only. Still, it *claims* to take shaders. I've been using MEC4D's unshaven colors for the G2 set (which are 3DL) on the G3 set (which I think is Iray), so It's maybe worth trying that.

I wasn't that into the sculpt, but I'm glad I checked out all the promos. Definitely grabbing this.

Well it does say Graffiti Artist Brand on the spray can, so that kinda counts. ;)
Oh yes, and the hair set has a seperate combover piece and not one, not two, not three, but FIVE NOSE HAIR morphs. The ony other nose hair product I know of, Hole Hair, only has three morphs (though, to be fair, HH does have ear hair as well so it's still a necessity.)
Could someone post an image of the tattoo texture on a default G8M? The skin texture looks really nice but I'm curious how the tattoos follow the face. Thanks!

i'm wondering what the character looks like on the g8m base, too.
here's a couple renders using Tristan 8 ... the only thing I see is the obvious huge seam on the head. I haven't rendered with Ollie yet , but otherwise it appears great
well, the seam is there with Ollie as well. I will report it. this is one awesome texture otherwise.

I received response from DAZ tech support on the seam issue. They have tested it and confirmed. It is being sent to the bug tracker and they will work on it..whoever the bug tracker is
Nice! Those new torn clothes from smay are going to be so useful...
Is the seam issue fixed yet? This is the only reason I have not purchased the Alchemist. Otherwise this looks like a stellar character!
there is no update in DIM .. and have not heard back from tech support if it has been completed.
I thought there was somewhere on DAZ that you could see what has been updated.
