Everything moves if you move the Hand (only happening sometimes)
Hi!
I have sometimes the problem, when I have my pose set and wanna change it I love to use hand/feets to control it, because the body follow it pretty good, but for some reason is there this problem, that when I touch the hand/feet everything moves a bit too, this get only fixed, when i restore the figur pose. And it doesnt happen if I use the sliders, but the sliders sadly doesnt let the arms and Co follow.
Any idea what this cause and how to repair it without resetting the figur (because thats a waste, because I have to make all again).
Thanks!

A) You can CTRL Z or click Undo button to undo recent posing changes, just like most software.
B) If you use ActivePose tool without pinning other bones, all bones will move with the selected bones in a dependent manner. To pin a bone, the default pinning key is (i think) the SPACEBAR key when you have selected a bone. There are options about pinning etc the under Tool Options panel. You can watch posing tutorials on Youtube for more understanding of that matter.
C) You are saying that bones moving with other bones is a problem, but at the same time you are saying "but the sliders sadly doesnt let the arms and Co follow" which is confusing as that was the issue you had?
so... for A, ... yeah I can reverse it, if I see it happens... but that will NOT fix it AND... it wasnt standard in my daz installation I had to set the software to use CTRL+Z to undo stuff... no diea why it was not set...
(edit: I just see I have ZERO shortcuts... there was 0 set... only the 4-5 I set by myself...)
B) like I said, it works 100% normal the most times.... but sometimes it struggles, I never use pins.
I did try it one time with pins. and.. it didnt helped there is some bug in the body, that the body moves with every little touch a little bit more... this happen not if you use the sliders.
I have here also another bug... I don't know if it is because its a monkey morph (the hair is disabled but still parented), it needs really long to move and every slider needs 2-3 sec. waiting time... other chars in the scene works without problems.
To show you that I can move the hand around without the body jumping around, i also loaded Santa Claus into the scene and used a preset position so we can say, its not a bug to the preset position in all... maybe...
Also.. the problem is only happening the first time you touch the body again... like the figure got scared OH WHAT... after that you can move it. Also visible in the video...

Oh okay, i understand the problem better now. (It wasnt clear from your original description.)
Does that same issue occur when selecting with other tools within the 3d viewport (e.g., when selecting with ActivePose tool or Rotate tool)? I assume selecting the joints within the scene tab instead of the viewport does not cause any problem?
right now I can work again with my monkey *g* (maybe the fresh day helped....) and... like I showed in the video, when I move the sliders "bend" "Twist" Front-back" red/blue/green it make no problems. But if I use the tools it does.
And... most times I use the Translate tool, but I also have the rotate tool much times on...
I can (lucky...) not test it now, if it belongs to a tool, because both work fine :D
And it is really needed to move with the hand, because I was just sitting here 20-30mins+ to move the hand to a new place.... and using only the sliders
is really annoying... I have to select forearm, hand, shoulder all one by one and move one by one, a bit up a bit down a bit left a bit right... because when I touch the body it goes crazy....
Oh maybe... I fixed it because I locked the pose of everything unless the arms... hmmmm could be a reason xD... But I just made that, because I want that the camera stays where it is (I placed the cam on the head)
(https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts5/mcjmakeheadcam with this nice script).
I wish really I can find a way how to solve it, maybe I need to lock the body everytime...
I've never used the translate or rotate tool. The 'bone' (ActivePose tool) is simply too awesome.
My workflow is:
I WISH there was a way to make Pin at Both the default since I always want it ON. But it has to be turned on each time you open Daz, unfortunately.
ActivePose is a major ballache imo. I lost count the number of times I click over to a different body part to see that some or all of the parameters are 0.0002 something or some other non-zero integer and find that at some previous point when posing the various limbs, ActivePose ended up moving the whole character. I've gotten into the habit of regularly checking the Undo button to make sure ActivePose didn't slightly move the whole character after clicking from one limb/body part to the next.
Agreed! I habitually look at the Undo button.
Still, I haven't found a better posing solution (haven't tried purchasing the various posing products in the store yet).
And once I've checked Undo, when I *do* actually move the limb I intend to move, it does so without moving the rest of the body -- which I like. A lot faster than tweaking stuff in params.
I... never used that ActivePose tool xD... I thought the way how I work is... the normal way.
Also I never used the pins before O_O...
I will try out that tool...
any idea where the toggle pins is here? because ALL of my hotkeys was empty and now I added personal hotkeys so if I click default... my own are gone -_-...
I didnt saw a default button at the start and it was empty as I installed daz :(
interesting... the activeTranslate Tool will move the body away if I grab the hand, but the Pose Tool will not!.... man...
So, the tool works nice, but it is much slower, is that for getting a better feeling? the translate tool moves much faster.
