John Griffin was the tile figure in Wells' novel. Claude Rains apparently was the man in the bandages on the silver screen.

    Yep.

Becoming an obscure cultural reference, I guess. :)

I recognized the invisible man, I guess i just couldn't quite connect the dots back to my promo renders (obvious as the allusion now seems). When I the renders I wasn't thinking "Invisible Man", I was thinking "I'm not allowed to post pictures of D5 in public prior to the figures launch so I'll just hide him".

I'm so used to the "invisible model" being used in promo shots in order to highlight outfits (instead of the model used) in the Daz Store, I was assuming that was your original intention and was just trying to be funny. :)

ETA: I snapped up the outfit as soon as it hit the Store. Thanks again, Joe. You can't beat quality and affordability rolled into one great product.

Thought I would update with some recent projects.

Starting off is some Green Lantern stuff. A genesis guardian morph, a Guy Gardner vest for m4, and a Sinestro suit for Apollo.

Years ago Rduda mentioned doing a better Guy vest than the one that's out there. With some of the jackets I've done recently I finally got to a place where I thought I could really pull off the collar. Then I got the idea that I'd make a whole suit... and quickly crapped out on the idea once I realized just how many studded belts that would mean making.

I went on and converted the Sinestro suit to Genesis in order to make Arkillo, I then did a Genesis Sinestro morph as well. Arkillo's body is the behemoth body.

Quite awhile ago I posted a "tank" body shape. Some time later I posted a version of it with a slate texture. I've recently gone back and done a friendlier face for it, a clay texture, and cranked out most of the JCMs, so he's getting closer to done.

I've also started working on the Rat again, now with a little buddy. If they ever get done, they'll be separate characters, since they'll require separate JCMs and MCMs in order to get them bending right. The studio render has a quick non-geografted tail tacked on and is using smoothing as a dirty fix for some of the bends since I haven't started on jcms yet.

Nice stuff there Joe. Tank looks like Iron from the Metal Men too! :-) I loved those characters. Very fantastic and very lovable.

Hey Joe, just wanted to thank you for the Turtle characters.. My family went to Florida for vacation a few weeks ago and stayed at the Nickelodeon Experience so my son could meet the TMNT, and making some images for him has been great fun. Here's the compilation image I did tonight. Cheers!

You did a nice job taking the edge off of them and making them look a bit more playful and family friendly.

    Joe,
Your stuff is so awesome, and you are so generous! I am looking forward to the SInestro costume on Genesis! I have purchased some of your great products and infact have my eye on Ribbits at this moment!! Would love to try to convert your Thor costume in the studio autofit and try to Ribbits it....

It's a shame it's not available any more; it blends nice with a bunch of the other genesis shapes to create a good variety of avian humanoids.

Well, crap. I loved it. :)

Then again I am a huge fan of all your stuff. I would love to see you do a supersuit for G2M.

I had a hard drive crash a few months back on a tablet laptop I use as a sketchbook. I didn't lose a whole lot, but I no longer have the Sinestro suit, the Arkillo morph, or a woodland archer costume that I had made for the mouse.
