I cannot afford snacks because they are going to grab more of my money with the 20% off order deal,

will just have to drink water and play tiddlywinks

  • Congratulations on 20 years, DAZ 3D. Thank you for bringing digital art to home computers. This is literally the most fun hobby I've ever had, and I appreciate all DAZ and the PAs do to foster and grow the medium. I hope you continue your success for many years to come.

Think I discovered DAZ 18 years ago.

The first entry in my product library here is the Victoria 1 Reduced Resolution figure, that was a freebie for a few days, in May 2002.

    Added a few entries, since.

    Congratulations from me, too!!!!!!

    Happy 20th anniversary, Daz!! :D

Someone at my work left a bunch of older ImagineFX magazines for people to take, and I had a pretty wild time going through the ones from 2009 or so and seeing how many of the tutorials are about new and exciting ways to use 3D programs like DS, Poser, and Bryce to do concept work.

Happy Anniversary! And thanks for the gift :)

  • Happy 20th Anniversary DAZ!!

I've only been around for 16 of those years, which when I put it like that sounds like far too much spent (time and money) ;) but I'm still having fun so...

    Here's to a great 20th year in 2020 and another 20 after that :)

Well, new year's resolutions normally last longer than this one (I wasn't going to buy anything above free this month.); congratulations Daz.

Congratulations, Daz3D. It is been a while.

I have started my adventure seriously with Daz3D in 2004, by purchasing a Bryce 5,

but have been a fan even earlier.

WOW! 20 years. Seems like it was yesterday and folks were freaking over Y2K. Thanks DAZ3D (Digital Art Zone) and the many customers who have supported me over the years.

Exactly this! I would never have had the nerve to try my hand at 3 D without your free program...thousands of dollars later, I've had so much fun with your program that I've actually made more renders than paintings lately!

+1 Congratlations DAZ.  Thanks for all great programs and content.

I'm a newbie by comparison and have only been here 12+ years. As a geologist I started with a free download of Bryce 5 as a cheap way to create 3D models of USGS Digital Elevation Models (DEMs). Quickly got hooked on 3D and got a free copy of DS. And the rest is history. What started out as free daliance turned into many years and thousands of dollars of fun. laugh

Congrats DAZ. Even though I have spent way too much on the site ... you have saved me alot in the real world since I now think anything priced less than 60% off is not a great deal.

Wow! DAZ IS NOW 20? Congrats!!! Still young, but you are going to age soon (hopefully with more PAs and happy costumers). Of course, more birthdays to come, and more affordable sales to make customers happy. CHEERS wink

Congrats and thanks for the coupon!  yes  Without it, Mech Dancer would have sat in my wishlist as an impulse buy, that I never got the impulse to buy.  wink

awesome and congrats. If I divide the cost of my purchases over 20 years, it not too bad laugh

Its been fun overall, sometimes a bit frustrating. but wow ... serious ride .

How about some history? Yeah, there's wikipedia, but are there any original DAZ folks still around?

DZFIRE - some of the best products going.

Been here since day 1 (and earlier - different screen name tho). Frustration, elation, irritation, anticipation. Received all of it here. Given some of it here ;).

People that owned the site originally or people that have been around for the entire 20 years? (I resemble the latter...lol). I joined around 1996 or 1997 (forget which) when the site was still Zygote and Vicky was just a twinkle in someone's eye. Back then, I was here for the animals :P

    Rob says
In order of consecutive years... Myself, Chris Jones... Allen Renfeldt and Josh Darling also have lengthy histories at Daz (DAZ), but have had 1 or more breaks in employment. There are a few approaching the decade mark, or within a few years of it, and several with half or less than that.

They started out with a Nude Young Woman, a Muscle Man, an African American couple, a Chinese couple, a slightly obese couple and an elderly couple, if I remember well - all designed for Poser 3....
