awesome and congrats. If I divide the cost of my purchases over 20 years, it not too bad laugh

Its been fun overall, sometimes a bit frustrating. but wow ... serious ride .

How about some history? Yeah, there's wikipedia, but are there any original DAZ folks still around?

    Rob says
In order of consecutive years... Myself, Chris Jones... Allen Renfeldt and Josh Darling also have lengthy histories at Daz (DAZ), but have had 1 or more breaks in employment. There are a few approaching the decade mark, or within a few years of it, and several with half or less than that.

I've been a PA since 2003.. so a long old time. Still a baby in my PC role.though, though the grey hair is amassing at a rate of knots ;)

Congratulations to DAZ on your 20th anniversary!

I joined the Platinum Club in 2006 so I could get Hexagon. : )

    Thanks for the Gift!

DZFIRE - some of the best products going.

People that owned the site originally or people that have been around for the entire 20 years? (I resemble the latter...lol). I joined around 1996 or 1997 (forget which) when the site was still Zygote and Vicky was just a twinkle in someone's eye. Back then, I was here for the animals :P

    Laurie

my name says 2003 ..but I was here way back during Zygote times myself.  there were virus and bacteria models too laugh  .

I have items still in my working runtimes made by Rob when he was a PA.  One at least I think came from Zygote originally rather than Daz. I do know from what has been said before that Rob has been around since,  if not quite the Ark,  certainly since the beginning, the genesis one could say, of Daz.

Been here since day 1 (and earlier - different screen name tho). Frustration, elation, irritation, anticipation. Received all of it here. Given some of it here ;).

    Laurie

I can identify with that, although I have not been here as long as you have, Laurie.

Keep up the good work, Rob, Chris, Allen, Josh and others. We appreciate what you have given us.

  • Congratulations Daz! I have thoroughly enjoyed all of your products and am looking forward to see what your future holds! Thank you for the very generous gift!!

Ah, that's why you use a B&W photo for your avatar - cunningly concealing the grey laugh

I came over specifically to get the buck model, but was delighted to also get some of the ocean life. And if I'm not mistaken, Rob made the merman. I never got him, but I did get the fairy and maybe the knight. It's a little fuzzy. I used to have a disk with some of them on it, but it's been lost for a lot of years. Maybe got the knight and the gremlin, but I don't remember anymore. LOL ;).

  • Happy Birthday Daz :) Was the coupon code in the Birthday sale only for PC members?

  • Happy birthday from a newbie!  And thanks for the gift!

Happy Birthday, thanks so much for the gift. I was around, looking at the store since the Zygote says, but was content with the Poser figures until 2004 (was actually most interested in the DAZ Studio Beta).

  • Happy 20th anniversary!

I think, by tradition, you must now render some china. Or maybe a render set in China. Whichever. laugh

    Happy 20th anniversary Daz!
I personally joined the site in 2003, but really started spending time (and later money ;) ) here when they released the first DS public beta in 2004.

I guess the anniversary coupon was only good for that day even though it's still in the banner :(

I tried with the Thunder Drake from the link of all valid items

Then I tried with the centaur 8 pro bundle from the list in the banner add itself

Both times I got that the coupon code was invalid :(

The coupon code is still valid, but will not work if you used it yesterday.

Congratulations Daz. It says my first purchase was in 2008. I didn't even have a computer that could run it, but I was hopeful.

Yeah, okay, some of you have been here since the dawn of time and I've only been here since 2005, BUT...

how many of you still have both the AIko and Hiro T-shirts that DAZ used to make?

I didn't even know that Daz ever made physical products. There was the big talk about 3D prints, but that completely fizzled out, I think.

Yep.  In the early days they also offered a CD-Burn in service and published a pretty good book, as well as pre-packaged software and the Reby Sky texture/Modeling collection in clamshell cases.  I THINK they even sold a custom mouse for a brief periode, but I may be mixxng that up with someone else.
