The Vampiros Hermosos line was a combined effort between several vendors but Tony Puryear was the one who masterminded most of it. He's not in the DAZ store anymore, though I think some of his work was bought out as DAZ originals. The rest still shows as being for sale over on PoserContent.com, edit - but I just checked and the links come back to dead DAZ links. edit 2 - but here's his wordpress page https://tonypuryeardesignand.wordpress.com/
I remember Tony Puryear. I bought a ton of that stuff that is still in my product library. I just wondered what happened to all of them.

The promo art for the Vampiros Hermosos stuff was a lot of fun...
Maybe someone should pick up where they left off, if the original team has moved on.

Shows you how often I check this stuff. I didn't even notice they were gone! The only one I picked up was Vampire Frida, and Frida's Ant Fernando. El Monstruo de Franconstin always looked to me like Eric Roberts on a bad hair day, LoL! Yes, the promo art was priceless...

I agree. I think not enough is made of the connection between cheesy B-movies like in the 1950's and 3D rendering. Vampiros Hermosos did hit the spot. I did a cheesy render themed as Attack of the 50 Foot Woman years ago. She was about to throw a car at her philandering husband and his fleeing floosie! Oh, well. We still have The Ant Farm providing us with B-movie items.
there was another artist or group maybe even connected to this one that had all these ghosttype characters like 13 ghosts the one with a cage on his head and others that were pretty cool too that left think read somewhere they couldn't really create sell what theywanted to here sadly, would've been cool to see new g8 versions interpatations of ghosts, ghouls, deformed, weird extra here. Yeah we do have a few here but never enough and the styles were different with each artist

remember when was kid came across a horror magazine on Mexican? horror movies that looked cool. Had vampires, werewolfs (wolfman type) and other creatures oh and the Golum, there were a few of those think which those don't know is a Jewish creature, kinda unusal for concept for a horror character from that part of the world true but still cool. Usually humanoid man made of clay he'd come alive and kill. Don't think US or UK ever did any movies using this creature but this'd suite the style of this artist
You're probably thinking of MortemVetus. Got a lot of their stuff when the RDNA catalog was brought in. True, a lot of it is a fair bit more graphic, compared to others. They have their own website and now sell through Renderosity.
Horror movies were popular in Mexco in the 1950s. There was the Aztec Mummy trilogy that culminated in The Robot vs. The Aztec Mummy. There were far more lurid productions too...
Apparently, there's a 2018 Israeli production of The Golem that has decent ratings on Rotten Tomatoes.
Well ... assuming it's the same person (no idea how many people with that name are out there, but there can't be that many), Tony Puryear moved out of 3D work completely into screenwriting and was recently a staff writer on Queen of the South. Also did a bunch of comics work, including Concrete Park.
Judging from the art style of the work on his site, kind of think it's the same person, even if the 3D work has been really thoroughly buried. But it looks like the promos for the stuff that was here.
Apparently, the 3D stuff was just this weird early career ... glitch, for lack of a better word.
That's a shame. I loved how his 2D artwork and 3D artwork had the same visual style. Some that shines through regardless of medium. I've been trying to achieve similar in my work. I miss it.
I love the promos and concepts, too. I wish the other stuff was still available, but I'm glad I was able to at least get Pat Neal while I could!
I never really finished this one. Frida says, "Let's blow this party, Fernando. These dudes are squares-ville!" Maybe time to refresh this scene with Iray...
Robot Vs. The Aztec Mummy is great fun, but for sheer gonzo weirdness, it's hard to top THE WILD WORLD OF BATWOMAN. Pro wrestlers, monsters and a gender reversed Batman ripoff solving mysteries in a bikini? How has this not received a big budget Hollywood remake? (Oh, yeah, lawsuits...)

It only fits the A4 models, and some of Tony Puryear's characters, no V4 morphs.
That's because its by hongyu and was just part of the set. Hongyu is still a very active content maker, especially over at Rendo.
