Since the old thread was closed I thought I'd open a new one for renders and no "not a male or ethnic" complaints. Although I do have one complaint and it's not about the character or bundle but the deal itself. The freebies are all Thorne products and chances are, if you like the bundle, you probably already own most of the freebies so there is very little choice! And usually we get more than 3 freebies.
But I do like the character, I LOVE the sci-fi outfit, and normally this bundle would jump right into my cart but I'm not thrilled with the deal itself. But the add-on Marlow is calling to me! She is so adorable!

Ditto. Liked the character, always in the market for interesting sci-fi outfits. I picked up Shail because of the skin/body colors... she's interesting. Plus the sci fi outfit and the textures for it.
The bundle didn't quite work for me, and I liked the al la carte optioning with the discounts on this one. 3, 4 items for the discount? Works just fine on Rynne and the parts that you like. Maybe it was an unintended consequence of their pricing decisions, but I'll take it that way. I didn't need all the other things in the bundle even if it was a good price after my discount and the other discounts.

I always look forward to new Thorne characters, and Rynne is a another good fit for a couple of projects requiring a range of fae. The pro bundle plus freebies is compelling too this time, with wishlisted freebie items included, which is rare! The Sci-Fi outfit in the bundle helped too.
I was disappointed that some recent Thorne characters (Sari, Ryel, and Annaku) were not part of a themed bundle! Sari and Annaku are unique, adding very welcome ethnicity, and Ryel a male that fits with the rest.
As Dustrider mentioned, it is not a great time of year for bundles to come out (there are always tempting items right before Christmas), but I bought a gift card in anticipation for once.
This is probably the most successful callback, in terms of design, to Thorne's Generation 3/Generation 4 fairies. I didn't always care for the promo art on those, but at least the characters usually felt genuinely eldritch and inhuman at some level, whereas a lot of the Genesis 2-Genesis 8 counterparts just seemed to be targetted to the waifu crowd. Also kudos for avoiding overly titillating promo art with such a youthful-looking character. A little tempted by the starter bundle, which include the most interesting hair (Camellia), addon character (River) and outfit (Chrysalis). But really need to play with the stuff I already bought first!
Just wanted to add, because i noted someone had said there wasn't a lot of add ons... well there WILL be. :) Maybe there was too much for one day? She is cute, and thorne characters are just so much fun to work with and add on to and build from...and are popular to work with. I'm always thinking, eh, I'm going to stop working on shapes...OH WAIT THIS ONE IS TOO CUTE and I can't resist! I know my character for her hasn't released yet, so I know for sure there's more coming for Rynne. Or maybe stuff is staggered because we've all been super busy cramming as much real life holidays in around the 3d work or making freebies too ;) Not sure, but I can say more is coming so keep your sparkly eyes peeled!
I did a render comparing Rynne, Mika, and Tika, posted it in Novica's thread. One of the things I can see in all, are regular teens that I have seen in Target. It shocked me the first time I noticed it, but I have seen more since. So teen or fairy or sprite or whatever you need, she has a lot of potential.
I wish they had included more add-ons to this sale, including yours!
I am just wondering if this will be a one day sale? I know for the Darcy 8 Bundle, I missed the sale because of it being a one day sale, and is the only reason I hadn't bought her yet. I like the look of the Rynne 8 Bundle, all though not the srtongest sale. I just don't get paid until this weekend, so I hope I don't miss the sale.
I like her - I was a bit hesitant on some of the items in the bundle, but with the loyalty promo and a few Rynne New Releases it's a good deal :)
This is my first render of her with the Sci Fi Crew outfit and Itsy hair. No postwork - just some help (as always) from Divamakeup's Altern8 Skin Shaders.
She's also being pitched as an anime-type character, all of which is probably to maximize potential sales, as the fact that the closest thing to a male fairy counterpart in this generation has been Ollie would rather limits Rynne's uses otherwise.
Just a quickie to see how she does in basic, uncomplicated conditions. This is out of the box, base lighting conditions, base skin with makeup. Also, the Sci Fi Crew outfit plus the textures. Jett hair with a Rendo texture expansion.
She fits in the Stylized bucket of Figures by default, where Mika and Kanade live. I am not so much a fan of the default facial setup, myself, so I blended Kanade, Mika, and Rynne together for this face. (50% Kanade, 15% Mika, 35% Rynne, if you like this blend.) This test image is really about the face, and maybe the butt as an afterthought. You can see the body type - skinny, petite.
Makeup choices are nice for this type of character. I think they are LIE-based makeups, and definitely NOT the Diffuse overlay style of some of the base figures in Genesis 8.
Does anyone NEED another waif-y faery? Maybe not if you're an existing customer who doesn't like small female figures, but Rynne is a good figure in that genre of stylized base figures.
Well... it doesn't say ONE DAY ONLY anywhere, but given how fast the last couple of figures have been trotted on and off, I wouldn't bet that it's NOT a one day sale and I certanily wouldn't bet that it will run more than a day or two Given how many customers seem to have the 30% loyalty discounts, it's just going to be too hard to keep the discount stacking down for that long if they run it any longer.
I made a render of Rynne 8 with a Victoria 4 outfit https://www.daz3d.com/pixiedust-outfit which I was able to pick-up for free today. I didn't convert it properly and the wings crimped up badley during the autofit, so I deleted them. I loved the dress and the autumn colors. I used one of her makeups, but substituted a lipstick from another add-on character as it fit the dress's colors. She looks older than my first render.
I find her fascinating. There are layers to discover.
Don't autofit the wings just load them and parent them to the chest.
Try positioning the wings where you want them and then parenting to the upper chest, without autofitting.

Allthough she is too young/fairy-like for me, I do think she's an interesting character with distinct features.. Who knows, maybe I'll purchase her some day after all for use as an alien or elf or other non-human humanoid.
I did jump on the Sci-Fi Crew Outfit and the Itsy Hair, though, and with those two, it was just a matter of finding two more useful parts to enjoy the full bonus rewards. The Lucas 8 Pro bundle and the G8M headmorph kits had been on my wishlist for a while already, so combined with my loyalty discount, I think I got a fairly good deal today.

Is the pro bundle failing to register as being discounted at all for anyone else?
The fairy/elven/youthful characters don't come with anatomical elements in the G8 line, if that's what you're asking. Going through them, Kanade/Tika/Mika/Sakura/Karyssa all lack them.
I do not have an ethnic or male female compalint. I am trying to buy her but walked away and Daz doubled the price. I am trying to buy this bundle and Daz is handcuffing me.
There was a problem with the release date set on the bundle that just got fixed, which is probably what caused the discount loss problem. Discount should come back once the product finishes updating.
