Uuuuuuuggggggghhhhh I was agonizing all day over what freebies I was going to get with Darcy (after a brief period of pretending I was going to control myself and not buy her). I started off thinking I was going to get Sakura 8 pro bundle, because it would discount in the cart and allow for more free stuff. Then I saw the ExpansiveAPE suit bundle, and the rest of the day was spent arguing with myself over whether to get that. I ended up deciding against it and getting more sci-fi environments instead, because I picked up the two new spacesuits a day or two ago, and they need more places to be before they need a military escort.

Wow. that totally sucks for those who didn't snap her up quick. With as fast and close together as these last four releases have been, it's definitely feeling like DAZ is just dumping out what's left in their Genesis 8 warchest.
Wow, that's crazy short Core Pro Bundle sale. Glad I was able to take advantage of it yesterday. But geez I feel like Darcy did not get the love most core models do. It does feel like Daz has been pushing core content out like crazy. However, I feel like Darcy was supposed to be released after Silas 8, but was pushed back to release a diffrent core model. I am just happy to see another WOC core model reased, since I feel it will be a mintue till the next one.
That sale was too short for me. As someone whom has bought all of the G8 Pro Bundles, I expected at least a purple banner or something for Darcy 8. I'm going to wait and see what happens. 2019 is coming to a close and my purchases of G8 Pro Bundles will be too.
I would've liked an elderly black couple as well.
Daz stated on the Darcy page that it was a one-day only sale, and was true to it's word. IMO the pro-bundle offers should last a minimum of three days. Daz dropped the ball and lost my $$$ on this one.
Where did the Darcy banner go?? Why only 1 day?? So stupid. Especially with a character that often strugglesto make great sales. I didn't have the money straight away and now I just won't buy her.

The 50% off the HD Add-on was listed as "Today only". The rest was not announced as such.
There was no special banner, she was only listed on the main sale page (as usual during big sales). The fact that she's just a "still new release" without her special discounts is a surprise though.
That was a good deal so had to pick this one up, even if it didn't last long.

I guess I didn't catch the "Today Only" part of the deal. My friend and I thought the HD Add-on 1/2 half off was the part that would be going away in a day. I was shocked to see my cart this morning had doubled in price. I won't be buying now.
I was pretty annoyed when Darcy was released, because I wanted to buy Jenni but was unable to, then bought Robyn just because of the great deal even though I didn’t care about the character, then thought I wouldn’t be able to pick up Darcy even though I wanted her.
The idea that I wouldn't buy Darcy turned out to be short-lived.
Another pretty Black girl... Kidding. Sort of. The truth is that there is nothing major here (and in most of these Daz Original releases) that adds much to the gene pool that any good PA couldn't do. Maybe these are all just bought out PA offerings, who knows. Edie, Ollie, Floyd, Mabel, Mr. Woo Caryn, the Girl, Sakura all really added something major to the gene pool. But they could have been PA creations too. Is there something special that makes something a Daz Original core character?
I'm not really sure of the purpose of Daz Original bundles anymore. A nice character that any good PA could do with random clothes and poses.... That said, she's very pretty and I'll surely get her some day, hopefully free, as well as PA characters based on her, but there was nothing in the bundle I actually needed or that I found particularly original. Or maybe I already own too much and the latest offerings just aren't impressing me much because I already own so much similar content...
At this point it would make sense to run a few renders of some of the add-on characters with Darcy herself dialed out.
It will probably be some months, to a year, before Darcy's bundles turn up as free with the purchse of some other bundle, but the PA add-ons don't typically make that particular cut, and it would be useful to see what they look like without the base.

i really don't liked her "promotion lasted just a single day" i had problems to buy her and only could do that in the next day just to find you it already ended, it was really annoying.
The one day sale is very weird, I'm glad I went ahead and got her. >< Almost every sale I've seen this year has had catch up periods for special offers, so maybe it'll return.
I don't think it was communicated well. I did see "Today Only" above her offer but I remember previous pro bundles released during daily sale periods having similar eyecatch things on them and I think this is the first time I've seen Daz actually pull one after a day. If I hadn't decided to pick her up yesterday I probably would have assumed the deal would be around for a few more days at least.
Themed bundles ... that would be awesome ... really awesome !!!!! Why hasn‘t anybody thought of that yet? The 1950‘s thing would be very high on my list.
