    Yet, a couple more upset folks left some comments on the re-uploaded image in the gallery. The thing is that they don't explain why they find this image offensive. I'm puzzled and baffled as to what they are finding so offensive about it. It's an image of a DAZ error! I feel it's a piece of art, and I'm not removing it.

    Yeah, he probably had to deal with too many transporter accidents in med. school. That would do it.

    I don't understand people who are offended by someone other's artwork and wish to be rude about it. If you don't like someone else's art you can ignore it. It's not like it's gonna hurt you, or affect you in any way. Ah well.

    It's a funny error though :)

    It's a painful memory for some of us and is worth shocking another generation with, to remind them to keep an eye on the drug manufacturers and their watchdogs.  And "yes", that's where my brain went the moment I saw the OP's picture.

    Indeed, it is a painful memory. and obviously for some not just a memory.  I assume you know that people affected by thalidomide don't actually look like this.  Any suggestion that they do is only making the memory/reality more painful. 

    For the record, I have no problem with the picture itself, only with the unwarranted association with thalidomide.

    Well, I just received a cease and desist order from SilCorDyne for mentioning their crappy Instant Matter Transporter... considering they won't make that product until 236 years from now (and they only exist in a parallel universe), they really have no sense of humor... well, what do you expect from transdimensional time traveling corporate lawyers... I but l get how you feel... in fact I probably just pissed off a whole bunch of transdimensional time traveling corporate lawyers by portraying them in a negative light in my joke... I'd offer to remove this post, but more than likely there are infinite variations of me in infinite parallel universes that are capable of reposting this, so if my references to transdimensional time traveling corporate lawyers offended anyone, good luck getting all of those versions of me to comply... especially the one with the eye patch and robotic plasma gun arm... I probably pissed off a few cyborgs too now.

     

    If the many worlds version of quantum theory is true and for every possible decision there is a world where it went both ways, there has to be at least one world where you didn't withdraw the post and they were offended, at least one where you didn't withdraw it but they didn't care, and quite a lot where you never bothered to visit this forum at all but took up a different hobby instead. It's just a matter of  luck which one you are in, so the question is, do you feel lucky?
