What in the world!? (The Error)

I saved a face transfer a couple of days ago, and then this is what happened when I loaded it. I don't think this was supposed to happen, but I saved it as art anyways.

EDIT:
Hey guys, I decided to re-upload the image to the gallery. I initially removed the image as the result of quite the rude comment I received from an individual who was upset and offended by this image. Sharing this image was never meant to offend anyone. I shared it out of good fun and humor. I decided to bring it back to the gallery because I feel that it is still a piece of art despite the flaws. Again, the results to this image happened when I saved a face transfer using the new built in face transfer function that was released in the latest DAZ version. Initially, everthing worked bine, but this is what happened when I loaded it after closing DAZ. The arms and face ended up getting distorted. It wasn't what I was expecting, but I saved it as art anyways.

Huh. After it was associated with so very many birth defects in the 50s and 60s, I thought thalidomide had been permanently withdrawn from all markets. It wasn't initially approved for sale in the US; all the damage it did here was due to physician's samples, of all things.

This is why you buy the full maintenance plan for your SilCorDyne Instant Matter Transporter and DON'T rely on YouTube videos to fix it yourself.

I posted in the product suggestions forum a while back for circus freaks so I'd call that a good start.

I got a similar look from G8M when I accidentally applied a dforce modifier to him instead of his shirt. Running the simulation melted him and turned his face inside out. It was not the thing I expected to see when I came back to my computer to check how the shirt had draped. XD

It's a painful memory for some of us and is worth shocking another generation with, to remind them to keep an eye on the drug manufacturers and their watchdogs.  And "yes", that's where my brain went the moment I saw the OP's picture.

Hey guys. After recieving quite the rude comment in regards to my graphics designing skills from an individual who obviously got offended by this image which I also posted on the gallery, I wanted to point something out. As stated in my post above, this happened when I simply tried to load the face transfer that I saved, and I had no idea what happened in the process to get this result. By all means, no, I am not a proffesional graphics artist. I only use DAZ studio and the basic functions to get my renders done. I shared the image out of good fun and humor. Sharing this image was never meant to offend anyone. Anyways, I removed the image from the gallery. If the moderators feel that this image is offensive, feel free to close the thread and remove the image from here as well.

  • Some people are just idiots. Unfortunately, in real life they cannot be fixed and rendered again.

  • Some people are born without a funny bone too and I don't mean the humerus cheeky

I an a firm believer in subjecting such people to as many jokes, memes, images as possible for re-educative treatment so don't remove your lovely render!

If I were you I wouldn't worry about people being offended. So many these days are making it a full-time job. ;) They'll get over it.

Well, I just received a cease and desist order from SilCorDyne for mentioning their crappy Instant Matter Transporter... considering they won't make that product until 236 years from now (and they only exist in a parallel universe), they really have no sense of humor... well, what do you expect from transdimensional time traveling corporate lawyers... I but l get how you feel... in fact I probably just pissed off a whole bunch of transdimensional time traveling corporate lawyers by portraying them in a negative light in my joke... I'd offer to remove this post, but more than likely there are infinite variations of me in infinite parallel universes that are capable of reposting this, so if my references to transdimensional time traveling corporate lawyers offended anyone, good luck getting all of those versions of me to comply... especially the one with the eye patch and robotic plasma gun arm... I probably pissed off a few cyborgs too now.

You should put a marble shader on it and it would look like a modern art sculpture

    .

  • imagine seeing that in the DAZ store one day in the middle of generic looking genesis 8's. i'd lmao

She/it would be a suitable companion to the dFlatable Donkey that was released in the store on April 1st this year (but is no longer available). Maybe you could offer this... curiosity up for next April Fool's day???

Hey guys. I decided to re-upload the image on the gallery. Despite it's flaws and the rude comment I recieved from an individual who was offended by the image, I still feel it is a piece of art worth sharing even if out of good fun and humor. However, does anyone know what may have happened? What kind of errors cause these kinds of results? All I did was just load the preset.

    The Error:

I applaud you sir! Some people just look for things to be offended by, and to them I say, "Go ahead, I'll post another!"

You could have just started a whole new trend in DS rendering :D

Good for you putting your image back up!

I have a large body of work where if anyone, for any reason what-so-ever, is offended by one of my pieces it comes down so fast they might wonder if they had actually seen it in the first place. It has only happened a couple of times in the past 14 years but was painful to me each time, and the offenses were TAME or merely perceived rather than actual. And I'd actually rather have just said, "If my art offends you, please simply avert your gaze." but that would not have been acceptable.

Ha ha! An alternate name for your piece could have been:

The Internal Struggle of an Artist Trying to Please Absolutely Everyone

Why not? Sounds perfectly acceptable to me.
