DFORCE Cloths just hanging in mid-air?

Hey!

Hopefully I'm not just beng dumb, but I have a question... I USED to be able to just load up a DForce shirt or something, not parented to anything, hit the DForce button and it would just fall to the floor and then dforce itself like it had been strewn about.  Lately, however, every time I try this (with any product, DFORCE or not) it just hangs in mid-air from a certain point and basically drapes itself down from an invisible skeleton or hook.  I can provide screenshots or something if this is needed, but I have no idea what to do.  I've already tried removing and re-applying the DForce  modifier, but now I'm not sure what to do next.

ANy thoughts?  Does this make sense?

Check the dForce strength value of the clothing. If it gets to 0.9 or below I think it won't drop to the ground.

If it is at full strength, then check that gravity isn't 0, i.e. turned off.

Hmmm, it was at 1, and gravity wasn't off, but those were both really good suggestions!  I ended up putting the whole thing in a new group, and then parented it to it, and selected all children of that group, then I removed all of the DForce modifiers again and re-added and it seemed to work now...

I guess it was just me being stupid, I've never realized that with some clothes only some parts are DForce...  Ugh...  thanks for your help!!

I have noticed that collars on dForce shirts often have a dynamic strength of 0, or just above, assumably to stop the collar from crumpling during simulation. This would of course also mean the shirt will not collapse if simulated alone, like the effect you saw.
