Applying clipart to wardrobe article?

I used to know how several years ago in Poser 6, now I forget how...specifically, I'm trying to apply said clipart (a siver cross) to the chest of a black bodysuit.  I'm not sure how to load the clipart in DAZ...I presume that applying it to the bodysuit would be similar to applying a shader?  Thanks in advance for the help! :)

you could use an image editor to apply the clipart to the suit's texture template.
save it as a rtexture map, then load the texture map in the surfaces tab

or if the suit doesn't offer a template, could use an existing texture map and paint over it in image editor.

Be aware that some items of clothing will only come with a shader rather that a texture map/template. I have no idea how one would add and position an image on it in that case, But I'm sure it could be done somehow.

You could apply the art as an iray decal (https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/151576/iray-decal-kit-make-your-own-decals-tutorial-commercial/p1), you could just edit the map and place the art as a modified map as people mentioned, and finally as a LI.E. image (http://daz.tall-tales-racing.com/resources/creating_lie_presets.pdf)

Both those ideas seem to assume you have a base texture UV map to work with. If the product only comes with a shader, like a leather shader for a body suit and no UV mapping, then you could possibly create a new rectangular surface with the geometry tool to place your image there. Albeit you'd also need to create an alpha map for it so only the image is seen and not the rectangle around it. Hit and miss to say the least.
