Daz on AWS - NVIDIA Volta V100

It looks like AWS now offers NVIDIA Volta V100 - has anyone tried to run Daz on the V100s or on AWS?

  • Is it possible to run Daz from command line as a remote render server (perhaps on AWS)

The V100 has the same GPU die as the Titan V, so performance should be on par with that. Which is about the same as the Titan RTX - minus any extra gains stemming directly from RTX hardware.

Not sure if the expense of iRay Server + AWS would be worth it just for a single V100.

  • You need iRay Server which is expensive.

  • Merged threads.

It should be possible, but the SDK example that shows how this might be done, SceneLoaderApp, doesn't currently work and support for it is non-existent.

I assume it's possible to load Daz from command line or to use other OS-level scripts to open/run/render pre-built scenes as opposed to SDK level?

There's a setting for a script that will be run on startup - possibly that could be used to do this via DazScriot.
