How do I erase a key in new Timeline UI?

How do I erase a key in new Timeline UI

"Erase key" button is not highlighted though "create key" is. Must I do something to highlight it?

And what is the meaning/use of the four categories(Object, Node recursive, Node and Properties) beside that button

  • You need to select keys before you can delete them, it isn't enough to click on the node (bone, prop, figure, etc.). You may find some of the discussion here useful:

I've read all but nowhere says where or how to select a key

Does somebody knows how to select a key or erase it?

With the mouse, drag a box around the key triangle to select it in the timeline. Then click the tool icon to delete a key at the bottom of the timeline key display.

You can also just click on a single key to select it. If you check the chnage log you will see that there are changes being made to cursor feedback, which should help to make things clearer.

Currently in the Beta (which is actually the older of the two versions right now) you can left click on the menu box in the corner and the option delete keys (selected nodes) will be active if you choose something in the scene.  If you click the menu in the Pro version, the option isn't highlighted.

I would think that is because the Basic view isn't designed to give the same level of detail.
