Fitting older wardrobe versions to Victoria & Michael 8

My apologies if I'm beating on a dead horse, but after spending lots of cash on various bundles and a new Graphics card, most freebies currently available plain won't fit the version 8 figures. For instance, I have a pair of Wonder Woman boots that would be perfect for my current project, but are impossible to parent to my Victoria 8 figure. I've found more recent freebies that "fit to Victoria 8" only seems to pair the darned boots close to the legs but between the feet rather than on them.
Oh yeah, the Iray Super Shaders Patriotic Patterns is a bit fickle, sometimes it works right away, sometimes it won't work at all. Sometimes I need to restart my computer, open the item of clothing or prop first and then it seems to work...load the figure and then parent them.
I might be skipping a simple step leading to my frustration, but I purchased the Victoria and Michael V8 figures and I want to make good use of them. If there's a way to properly fit older versions of clothing/footwear/props, what is it?

Here is a link to a thread where it is explained in a general way how to do that. It isn't hard actually because of the tools DAZ Studio makes available for you to do that. While the new clothing fits won't be a comprehensive as had you made a product for the DAZ 3D store in most cases the fits you make will be sufficient for the poses & renders you want to use those clothing fits for.

You can also use this tutorial from SickleYield that will allow you to avoid learning how to use the dFormer Tool & the Transfer Tool.

there are converters in the store from Riversoftarts, even though I didn't get good results from the clothing ones, many others seem to be fine with them. Shoe conversions will hardly ever be 100%. You could also create your own clones and autofit everything yourself, it's what i do and the fits for normal clothing are much better than with the converters.
try this thread for making your own clones

Using older clothing models with current human models is always a hit-or-miss process. Boots can usually be faked though. Load two iterations of the boots. Hide one foot/leg of each of them. Parent (not fit to) the visible boot to the character's shin. Scale to fit. Do the same with the other boot. Make the character's feet invisible. Pose the feet of the boots separately. If you're doing still images, it usually is fine. Probably useless for animation, though.
I've picked up just about every clone product in the store and can usually make older cloths fit current models. But sometimes it's more of a hassle than it's worth. And no one has a converter for K4 clothes. I could fit it to Genesis 1 without a lot of issue. but getting it beyond that is touchy. The conversion scripts seem to work reasonably well on some things. But gen4 fotwear tends to distort the heels whether you're using the script of a clone. Almost certainly because of that stupid pointed toe base pose that gen4 seemed to have.
Victoria 8 and Michael 8 are morphs for the bases Genesis 8 Female and Genesis 8 Male so you would convert wardrode to fit the bases.
