AFAIK you need to enable “preview PR hair” in the parameters of the hair first if you want to export it.

  • yes did that for all fur but when loaed in vue no fur still :(

yes did that for all fur but when loaed in vue no fur still :(

I think you will need to export it as an obj

yes did that for all fur but when loaed in vue no fur still :(

I jusr tried in blender - showed up fine.

  • exported as obj from daz w/in simulation tab  preview PR hair on for all fur mane etc opened in vue no fur

I dont use blender so any other ideas as to why it doesnt expot for vue please

I assume you mean the parameter tab.

I just used strand-based-hair to test, and to my knowledge dForce hair is in terms of geometry identical.

And I can't see any reason why vue would read an obj differently.

  • so you all have had animal fur dforce export as obj and not me :)

does anyone know of more deatails to kind me

    please

I do not know, why it doesn't work for you.

If you look at your animal in the viewport, texture shaded, can you then see the hair (not as the actual hair, but as a simplified version)?

  • the LAMH fur w/animal exports as obj but so far not the dforce

But can you see the hair in the viewport before you export?

  • yes dforce  fur is there and renders awesome in daz

Have you tried exporting something else with hair?

Like a simple plane with strandbased hiar

  • all LAMH animals w/fur export as obj to vue

I noticed that in the obj export options, there is a 'Polyline' - that must be checked.

    Beside that.
I do not have the animals you do, and I do not know if there might be differences among products, why I suggested using a primitive for test.
For a more controlled test I start with an empty scene.

    dForce hair product
    1) Load object (here Femme Fatale hair)
    2) Select dforce hair part
    3) Check Parameters > Line Tesselation (for viewport)
    4) Export as obj
    5) Import

    And for a primitive
    1) Create primitive
    2) Create strandbased hair
    [3) Paint hair]
    4) Parameter > Line Tesselation > 'Preview PR hair' > ON
    5) Export as obj
    6) Import

    Both loading as expected.

Hmm.. it has been a while since I messed around with VUE, but it vaguely seems like there was some goofy thing where POSER/DAZ things would import to VUE with Transparency inverted - in other words, things were invisible until you corrected the Transparency setting in VUE.  Maybe?

  • have no problem exporting LAMH to vue as obj I just cant get SBH dforce hair to export

IN the picture you attached, around 2/3 down you have a parameter "Preview PR hairs"

It is set to Off, but shall be On

  • no fur in vue when exported and I need to thank u for all this effort

  • save as obj preview hair on,viewport tess=1 render line tess=2 no fur when exported/ imported to vue..but yes have dforce fur when when loaded/imported into daz
