I can't figure out what went wrong, I check several places and keep getting the same answer.

I just made a purchase for $34.91 Canadian. When converted to American money, it's suppose to be $26.23, but instead I was charged $47.74 give or take a few cents, cause I don't remember the exact amount. Now I'm wondering about the other purchases I have made the last few days, are they all wrong?

I have too much a headache to deal at the moment, will call my bank in the morning and check the other transactions.

Prices are quoted in USD, so...

That means the Canadian dollar is worth more then the American dollar, so my order should not have been over $47 it should have been just over $26, meaning I was over charged by Daz.

Just found out what went wrong..Daz way over charged me.

No. The Can$ is unfortunately worth significantly less than the US$. Your invoice says that you paid US$ 34.91 which is currently about 46.50 Can$. I am in Canada so I know this feeling well.

That's almost double, way more then the 0.75 listed on that site.

I used this site and when I put in the amount, it converted ....  wait a sec, should I have converted american to canadian? Did I do this backwards?

Yes, if you are in Canada like me, you need to enter the DAZ price as US$ to get the CAN$ price, sad but true. So, indeed you need to convert american to canadian.

More DAZmath.frown  I kvetched about this a few days ago.  Invoices should reflect accurate math and show and label each line item correctly.  No mystery meat please.angry  Trust is a fragile thing.  Once lost, it is difficult to replace.  Humpty Dumpty comes to mind.devil

Yeah, that $75 line is supposedly the total for the original non-sales price but it has no reason to be in that invoice at that point in the number's column.  As given, the invoice is totally confusing.  Bogus! cheeky  Somebody's webpage algorithm is boogered.sad

Daz's store sometimes forgets discounts, and for some reason, PayPal lets this happen. Even if it's specificially shown to you that something should be X price when you click "confirm" when paying, you get charged whatever price the store has currently determined, as opposed to anything sensible like the transaction aborting if there's a mismatch in what's expected to be paid and what is being paid.

I almost always pay via store credit now, as the discounts on gift cards are much smaller than on most products, so if an error happens, I don't have to undo several hundred dollars of international currency exchange. By the time I'm paying for a cart at 60-80% discount, any damage if the discount recalculates is limited to my store credit, can be sorted out far more easily and means I don't have to eat cardboard for a week.

    Frankly, it's shambolic.

I don't use pay pal, thanks to the debit visa that's now a thing, also no wait time using them, which pay pal has always made me wait, not to mention too many things I have to go through to get a payment done.
