Seems to be excellent replacement for an older set with similar theme that disappeared recently

Everything he makes is beautiful and lush. Look at all the plants and props you can use with UltraScatterPro to make your own scenes, too.

Actually, it is a Daz Studio conversion of a set originally made for Carrara.  Carrara has long had detailed control of replicators (similar to Daz instances), and with his UltraScatter plugin for Studio, Howie has been able to make his Carrara sets available for Studio users.

Here is the Carrara version.  https://www.daz3d.com/world-gardens-japan

He has converted others as well.

And I'm really hoping he converts them all!

(I had the Carrara version wishlisted, but I've had Carrara for nearly 5 years, and haven't learned any of it. At this point, I don't expect I will.)

I wonder if the textures from the seasons pack would work on the studio version.

Yeah, I'd love to have Studio versions of his earlier sets. Pretty much all of them. And if he is going to continue to include the 3DL versions, all the more so.

    That might be a stretch

    lot of procedural mixing

Most of these sets use replication.

no reason you couldn't manually set up jpgs from a carrara set in ds

Yeah, it looks fantastic, like all his work does, but even with my GPU and DDR upgrade, his DS scenes are too taxing for normal use for my purposes (once you add figures, clothing, hair, etc)
