Rendering always ends at 2 hrs

I've got a complicated scene that I'm trying to render but it always ends at 2 hrs. It doesn't error out it just ends after 2 hrs even though it hasn't completed. I've spot rendered smaller portions that have completed and are noticeably clearer. Is there a render setting that I can change to allow it to go beyond 2 hrs? Thanks!

This sounds like a render using Iray. In the General tab in the Render Settings dialog Ctrl-Shift-R Cmd-Shift-R on a Mac) there is a section labelled Progressive Rendering, that has a sub-sectiona labelled Completion. The defualt duration there is 7,200 seconds - or 2 hours. Increase that (or, I believe set it to 0) and the render will run for longer and, hopefully, generate a clearer final image for you. Other settings teher can also have an effect on final duration and 'quality'.
Yeah, there is 3 triggers that stop a render, whichever it hits first stops it. MAx time, setting it to 0 makes it not a trigger anymore. Rendering quality and convergance ratio act together, cranking convergance up to 99.9 and quality up, or just turn the rendering quality enable to off makes it not a stop trigger anymore. Then the max samples is the other trigger, if you turn the other two off, you have a lot more control. If it's still grainy, you know you just have to bump up max samples if it's still noisy.
Generally letting a render run to 95% convergence at a render quality of 3 results in a clear image and you don't have to manually stop it.
I've discovered that it depends on the scene. Some renders will look fine after less than 25-50% while others need that 95% level. However, as you said, usually all scenes are fine at the 95% mark
Thanks for all of your comments, very helpful!
