Need Info and Help

I have two things I am in need of and wondered where I can either find them or make them.
First is a cigar. I know there are lots out there free and pay for, lost track of many of them over time and some don't do well with todays newer versions of software. Any help in finding this would be greatful...oh if possible I am looking for a package that has it both lit and unlit, I can worry about the smoke later.
The second item I think would be better as a tutorial. It's a halo. What I am looking for is probably going to have to be iray and it's completely made of light, as in I am not looking for a ring that has a light that glows around it. I mean the halo itself is light. i have been keeping an eye on both Poser and Daz and have not seen anything like that, and I know it can be done cause it's used in movies and tv. Anyone have any idea's how this can be accomplished?

Hi,
I do not have this product by Marshian, but maybe it would do it? https://www.daz3d.com/halo-effects
I do have this one, and there is a cigar in the promo and smoke. I tried to find the link in the store, it was by Digital Lite Design, Whiskey and Smoke Tutorial Plus Props, but could not find it, even after a name search. Maybe you have that in your runtime?

I'm familiar with the product Halo Effects, checked all the images when it first came out, it does not create the effect I'm looking for, that product makes a glow around an object and uses an object to create that glow.and reflect light onto surrounding objects.
I think Digital Lite removed the product you're talking about, searched their product page and it's not there..also I don't have it in my runtime.
This one has a cigar and is in Round #1 in the Super Stack-Up Sale right now, but better hurry, no one knows when Round #1 will close:

If it's Iray you could create a torus and make it emissive, it doesn't radiate a lot of light if it's small (there is a black plane behind the figure). I've used the Bloom filter here, it does affect everything in the scene but then you could create halo in a separate layer and combine it with the rest of the render in postwork.
Thanks Taoz I got that card one just a couple hours ago...lol I think it might just do the job.
As for the halo you created, although it looks nice, it still looks very much like a solid ring, which is what I don't want.
Almighty Quest, I found some images that represent my idea, as mentioned to Taoz, I am looking for a way to do this without there being a solid ring.
Sundog halo around the sun is the closest I could find on a short search

This is a 2D verson and 2D is very each to do compared to 3d in this case, th only problem is that in order to get it into Daz, I am left with a flat image.

Those both look "flat". You could try using a plane primitive with a trans map. In the emissive color parameter, either have a color version of the transmap, or set the color to whatever color you need. Maybe both. You may also want to play with refraction weight and cutout opacity, to make the plane less than fully opaque. (The "halo" on the maps will need to be blurred. Maybe a ring created in your favorite graphic editor with gaussian blur applied.)
If you play with the settings in Iray you can get something like this. For different effects you could perhaps put another, smaller torus inside the first one.
I spent a little time playing with this, using a single polygon plane primitive for the halo along with a sphere primitive for a planet. Here are my results:
These are five separate renders at 500 pixels each. The plane is the same for all five, with the size of the sphere changing to show the different effects. Although I created a ring of white and applied gaussian blur, it could just as easily have been a circle, for this application.
Here is a variation where I added a ring of brush strokes, just to fancy it up a bit. This image is larger to show the details in the halo:
For all halos, I used a black and white map in the Cutout Opacity with opacity turned way down, to 0.020. The emission color does not have a map, and the color attribute was set to a golden yellow. Emission temperature is 0. Luminance is 750 kcd/m^2.
I hope this helps.
Have you checked out Smoking Paraphernalia over at Rendo?
Thanks Sevrin that is exactly what I'm looking for.
Sorry for not getting back to everyone, been busy with dr's and forgot about my question.
L'Adair that final image is very close to what I want, though the inside circle I might have the edges softened when used.
Taoz those two torus' blended well together and is also close to what I want.
