yes... (and where is the hair posing sliders for my hair?)
also yes...
You think that heaven consists of unlimited, ultra-fast computing power giving you renders in s snap.
And hell gives the damned souls nothing but win3.11 PCs and not the slightest chance even to install DAZ.
...when you post in the "are yoo a thread killer" thread
Yeah, I often want to spin the figure around to look at another angle in a photograph.
You have given up on the idea of sleeping because there might be another flashsale coming up...
.... when my wife bent over the other day and I subconsciously reached to dial down the glute setting.
...
...yep, been through all six stages myself.
Ah, good, the new items just posted to the store, Time to get my PC+ freebies and then go to bed.
...
...or the An OT Thread for Images Thread.
When you look at a picture and go "You mean that's not a render? It's a photo??? But it's so clear, and detailed, and realistic..."
You look out through the window, and you're surprised that the picture is clear immediately, with not fireflies or anything.
+1
Using Poser indicates a lower level of addiction?
Ha! At least you didn't need to dial it up.
Compared with Poser I find DS more addictive, because I find it easier to use and get good results with.
When your render is almost done and you suddenly notice something is off so you kill the render that has been going for 20 hours, spend a few seconds correcting the issue, start a new render... Then save and post process the "flawed" image anyway and don't notice the flaw anymore. But you leave the new render running...
..you tell a girl she's got nice morphs.
... when nobody calls on birthdays for years and you don't even notice it.
a) When the whole day you were supposed to being doing DIY rehab for your weight room (spare bedroom) was instead spent periodically lazily getting up off the couch to stop, change, and then start a render of a scene your made.
b) Your last free $10 of your monthly budget was spent on 'Side Streets' and 'Slapstick for Genesis 2 Male' after wishlisting them 3 years and even though you know it'll be a year or more before you actually try & use them in a scene. Time spent shopping for those products that would have been better spent doing DIY room rehab or at least animation DIY learning in DS...
You wake up in the middle of the night to go pee and on the way back to bed you MUST take a look at the Daz site to see what new content was added to the store!
You see some great nature photos from a friend on FB and your first thought is "What terrain set did they use to get that?"
You follow that thought with "How did they get the water to flow so realistically?"
You look for the morph selection to add a little more oomph to your look...
When you have a bad visual snow day, and wish your eyeballs would do a few hundred more iterations of the scene
Or when your glasses are dirty and you wish the "Denoiser" would work better!
So relateable.
Hubby still thinks I use Poser, and always asks me if I'm still playing with my naked Poser ppl. I don't even bother to explain I moved on many years ago to DS. I just say 'yes'. cuz why bother.
I feel all the same things about real world lighting, clothing I see that looks just like I find here at the store, ppl who could use a few dial tweaks. On and on. It's a sickness with no cure. I tried letting my PC membership lapse a couple times, but couldn't stand not knowing.
The problem isn't about how much I use Studio, but how much I use Daz.
One suggests rendering, the other buying products.
And the time you spend with each is inversely proportional, usually in favour or buying products...
1) When you realize you have too much content in your computer, and decide to delete everything and start from scratch...
2)...Only to take more then a WEEK to download what you need...
3)...then you realize you absolutely NEED that Victorian-themed spiral corkscrew with a scorpion handle, because it'll be useful in a future picture...
4)...and then just redownload everything again.
And the best part...
5) Your hoarder friend tells you not to judge them, 'cos you're a digital hoarder.
I've been spending so much time trying to learn how to model assets that between Daz, Blender, and all the Iray and dForce parameters, I completely honestly had a complete brain-fart about a week ago where I woke up in the middle of the night, utterly convinced that the reason I was too hot was I had set the material parameters wrong on my duvet and made it too thick.
Argh!
...when you get the feeling that Daz is actually using you.
When I first started in 3D art, about seven or eight years ago, Poser cost $500 more than DAZ so I'd say Poser addicts must have a higher level of addiction than us poor DAZ folk.
Cheers,
Alex.
