You find yourself automatically waking up just past "Daz Midnight" and reaching for your phone to see what new content was just released.

You don't go to bed until after DAZ midnight.

In my experience, Daz “Midnight” is closer to 2330.

When your goal in life is to spend four times as much on a computer than you actually need for standard life tasks, just to be able to use, in this lifetime, the couple of IRay products you accidentally purchased.indecision

When you have to buy a brand-new 8TB drive, and still don't have enough space for content.

Your ISP threatened to shut off your internet because you had to re-download all your content(as a result of #1 above)

You just spent three days sorting through your content library right before that hard drive died.

You spend more than $500 during March Madness because you need stuff for promos.

You tried to spend more than your CC will allow on a single transaction.

You've got all the clothing converter software for the sole purpose of getting a tiny bit more mileage out of your V4 stuff.

You bug SY to put together a Clothing Converter kit for A3 (yes, please!)

You spend three months working on the perfect character morph... Ten times.

Yes, I'm personally guilty of almost all of these. The hard drive is on backorder.

    laugh

    There's some irony there somewhere.

... You know you use Daz (and/or studio) too much when...

You're nodding and smiling at all the posts made.

When you have your rendering computer in your bedroom, the monitor and keyboard accessible from your bed so can you sit on the edge of your bed as a chair to work and don't think it's crazy to render at 3:00 AM and then lie in bed watching it render...

... you wake up and use androidVNC on your phone from your bed to check on how the render is going on your DazStudio desktop which is in the other room where the renderfarm is.

    ... you have a renderfarm.

... you have an air conditioner cooling the room in the winter where your renderfarm is because your landlord overheats the building!

When your country has weeks and weeks of summer sunshine and you spend all of those sunny days in front of your computer screen because sunshine equals solar power equals will run the desktop all day. And then autumn arrives and you cry a lot.

You know you use Daz too much …

When you start modifying other computer projects to produce DS compatible output.

I am currently working through what'd be needed to make the mockup image a cross stitch conversion program I have written produce an obj file, mtl file, a texture map, normal map and displacement map to make the mockup of the final project look just as realistic as it's possible to in DS. The picture below is the 117 colour thread converted version I am just over half way through stitching up (about 50,000 stitches out of 98,000 at 28 stitches to the inch/784 per square inch, 1 pixel = 1 stitch) and it has taken me 3 years so far. I took the photo of our 6 month old Maine Coon Kitten 'Gryff' in December 2010 just before he bounced off to play catching snowballs with my daughters. Sadly he died in 2013 just before his third birthday, and the cross stitch is to commemorate him.

    Regards,

    Richard
