...this happens:
Yep, I get the scene all rendered, nice pose, nice expression, backdrop is good, good lighting, nice hai.....DOH! the hair tips are running through her shoulder again!
Backt to adjustments....
When you walk the dogs a foggy evening with lots of foggy street lighta and think "this took a long time to render"
You need to check the latest sales on your phone at work
This made me laugh. I just could imagine it. There are also times I've seen someone and thought, I could get a better look with Daz
...when promos like this one upset you and ruin your day
I mean why the hell use high heels poses for barefoot characters
? ??
Utterly RIDICULOUS

To have my hairs cutted exactly as I wanted them to be on the back, showed to my hairdresser the promo picture for "Juliette hair"
I had to share this thread with my roommate ... too funny. And I'm also shocked I'm not the only one who has melted a computer. It got so bad I had to finally buy an Alienware so I wouldn't destroy a brand new laptop every 9-12 months.
Well I do have a couple of real world experiences that might be signs I spend too much time on this hobby. One is, I've found I tend to talk about things in front of me using "stage left" and "stage right" instead of my left and right. I'm pretty sure it's because I'm so used to having the figures facing me on the screen and having to use their left and right to click on the correct arm or leg.
The other is I've gotten to the point that when I'm looking at random pictures of people on the internet, every now and then I see one with a blank expression or odd lighting and whatnot, and I wonder if one of them is a really good render that someone is trying to pass as a photograph.
... when you're counting sheep to help you sleep and you count: sheep 4, sheep, sheep 2, sheep 3, sheep 8...
That's just what happens to your feet if you're using heels for too long...
No, the toes aren't cripplingly deformed yet.
.
Ask the chinese, they're the experts...
When you see the skin of people and think how cool would be that for a Daz character.
When you go to get dressed in the morning and can't find that new outfit you bought... then remember it was a Daz asset. You swear at your Daz characters for stealing your clothes.
*sigh*
This is me exactly except I also look in students in the classes where I sub and wonder if I could dial them up and which skin would I use.
Aah.. that's why she looks so angry
When you're looking at an image on the internet and you instinctively try to zoom or rotate it to get a better view.
This is definitely me- when even when you're asleep, some inner alarm bell goes off and you know the store probably just changed over. Around 1am Central Time.
And Stonemason has a restraining order on you to stay at least 500m distance.
....as do all the other PAs....
The Secretary of the C.E.O of DAZ has your picture hanging on the wall by the door.
The Security Checkpoint at the entrance to DAZ has your picture hanging on the wall by the metal detectors.
The Squadcars of the Salt Lake City PD all have your picture hanging on the dashboards.
The Salt Lake City Airport has your picture hanging at all the offloading gates.
All those pictures of you has the words "ARREST ON SIGHT For Violation Of Restraining Orders" beneath your face.
...
...when you use DS
When you see women wearing dresses in real life and get annoyed at the blatant flaunting of dForce.
Just wear pants! They're easier to pose!
...when you look at the reflections on your car and wonder if fresnel and IoR is physically plausible
I just tried to click the LIKE button for this picture, thinking it was shared art from of the many Daz and 3D-art groups I belong to- on FaceBook.
Actually, it's from a car ad.
Wow, way too much 3D content in my life.
I can relate to soooo many of the posts here.
1) I'm a night owl, so I'm always staying up late and working on something. I get so swept up in what I'm doing that I'm always surprised when it's been two or three hours since I last looked at the clock. Oops.
2) I can't log off the computer until I see the new deals for the day. I'll tell myself I've already spent enough this week/month/year, but then there might be a coupon. And then I'm telling myself again, that's enough for the week/month/year haha.
3) If I'm rendering something, I can't go to bed until that render has finished. Most of my renders finish in under an hour, but that hour might be four or five am and I'm telling myself I can do the render in the morning (I could let it render while I'm asleep, but I live with two other adults that share this computer and I don't trust them to wait).
4) I buy so many things that I often discover them months later, never having used them. There was an environment I bought last year for the sole purpose of rendering a particular scene with a character. But I bought it at a time when I'd bought lots of other PC+ items. I just recently found it (under lost and found, strangely enough) and couldn't believe I hadn't used it yet. I found loads of things I'd never used. And here I am, still buying things.
5) When my brother asks what I'm doing, and I say I'm rendering. It doesn't even surprise him anymore.
6) I have dreams about rendering. Usually, it's something that gets canceled and I have to do the render over again, or I'm working on a scene that seems to take four hours to place one item. Or I dream about my graphics card. I bought a new GPU recently and after a few days of rendering, I had a dream that I blew up the graphics card. Yeesh.
Yep, there are research labs studying Daz discount maths to try to understand it...
When you go through products removing the ones that you will never use and you end up with half as many as when you started.
When you look at a photograph and search for the dials so you can adjust the pose just a little.
... when you're standing in front of a mirror, looking for a makeup preset to apply.
... when you're shopping for clothes and you consider buying something because all it needs is a different opacity map.
(I've done both)
