Just to agree with the OP and Wonderland; It's only basic Civlity to post the time remaining for something on Sale; and a level of contempt for the user not too.
If you view a Sale Item at Rendo, it includes a counter that tells you to the second how much longer the item remains on sale.
Either way, I save cash. None of it I actually need.
No, I think almost everyone who have been at this for a few years already have a lot more than they need (what they want is a different story).
This is the first time this nonsense has happened to me. Bought the item at sale price of ~$7 then when PayPal receipt arrives it's $24.99
I'm retired and have a small, stone solid, fixed income that I budget meticulously. My purchases are carefully weighed and planned, Surprises like this upset the applecart.
Yeah, I probably could'a noticed the price change before finalizing the transaction but there was just one item in the cart and took literally just seconds. One item. Click, in cart. Click, sign into PayPal. Click, done. I've read about this problem here before but always thought it was exaggerated. What's the use of having such a smart machine if it doesn't warn you that the price you clicked on is different when it gets into the cart.
I've submitted a ticket but that's an adventure tale all by itself.
Fingers crossed for my store credit.
It's not like DAZ is going belly up if I stop buying here because I don't buy much here anyway. My DAZ closet and garage is full of enough old stuff to keep me happy to the end of my days. But when an item on my cobweb covered wishlist of ancient stuff goes on significant sale I think about it again.
Just thought I'd add to the buzz in this thread.
Actually, no. Although this is unrelated to the end time of sales. For some reason, even when you authorize the smaller amount in paypal, you can still end up being overcharged, and the only time you notice this is AFTER the transaction. I honestly don't know how paypal can do this. If I authorize $10, then they shouldn't be allowed to charge me $50, but currently this is how it works. Luckily, Daz customer support is good with quickly refunding the overcharge.
I totally agree. It's really annoying when you rush, like crazy just putting a couple of things in your cart and quickly checking out because it's coming to the top of the hour. Then three hours later the Flash Sale is still there. It's like they don't want you to spend your money isn't it. Like the one now. You can only put one item in the cart along with with qualifier but you can use the coupon over and over! They don't tell you that bit though. I was bold enough to try.
Watch out though, you can only use it twice.
To be fare, their glitches sometimes work in our favour. They had one sale once that gave you negative negative Percentage off it ended up they owed you money. The double negative should have meant the items were more expensive but I didn't want to point that out at the time and kept adding the 'magic beans' to my cart. regardless of them not even being compatible with my software or me not wanting them. I got free stuff with them. They're still sitting, hidden, in my DIM. :)
