Your render size is set under the Render Tab. Look at the section called General.

Choose the Custom tab to access all the presets that come with DS:

Or you can select a specific size if you know how many pixels you want the hight and width. You can also set the aspect ratio if you have a specific aspect ratio you know you need, and then change size keeping that aspect ratio.

Edit: You might also want to make sure your Aspect Frame (Click on the Perspective/Camera View) is on so you can see exactly what is inside the render camera:

    RenderTab_Custom.jpg
    580 x 641 - 72K
    RenderTab_General.jpg
    585 x 540 - 62K
    Show Aspect Frame.jpg
    354 x 316 - 23K

If you frequently render in some custom size, you can also save that setting, so it will appear in the drop down box for more ease of use later. For example, I often use Daz Studio to render backgrounds for my mobile phone, which is 1440x2960 pixels. So I saved that setting, and can now simply select "Mobile BG" from the Dimension Presets box.

Also note the "Render Target" parameter in the first screenshot. If this is set to "Viewport" (I think this is the starting default) then the render will be whatever the Viewport size is — and this is not fixed, it's just whatever space is left over between the left and right pane groups, and different panes have different minimum widths. Setting it to "New Window" (as seen above) or "Save To File" lets you define whatever render size you want.

A note that probably doesn't apply here, but if in the future you find that you are getting render sizes that don't match what you put in your render settings, check the camera in the "Dimensions" section to see if "Use Local Dimensions" is enabled. This isn't a common issue, but can happen if you load a previously saved camera.
