The store is missing an important feature.....

It would be nice if they added the function to write a review when you purchase an item.  I don't understand why it isn't there yet, I would like to know what others think of their purchase before I buy.  A description from the creators isn't good enough! Of course they will say things like: ''Best tutorial around'', ''Easy to understand'', ''Become a pro in minutes'', etc.  I want to hear from the customers !

Will reviews be implemanted at some point ?

The short answer is probably not.  This topic has come up multiple times in the forum and pretty much always end up in arguements which is why the topic isn't easily searchable.  People tend to be be very polarized by the idea (iam a very strong "no") so any addition of a review system would be a strong point of contention.  You can, of course, just ask in the forums about a particular product....

While I disagree with some of the reasons why people have argued against reviews, in the end, review systems are often fairly meaningless bumpf. In most of these systems, reviews end up almost exclusively as either 5 stars or 1 star, with diaphanous descriptions that either indicate the user hasn't really properly used the product, or doesn't understand what it's for... and likely has just written a review rather than actually talking to customer services to try to resolve the problem.

In either case, a review system doesn't massively improve on Daz's no-quibble 30-day returns policy. You don't need to worry about what others think, you can try the product yourself and see what you think of it.

Instead of reviews there is a 30-day no-question refund policy. Buy it. If you don't like it, or it doesn't do what you needed it for, return it and get your money back. A couple of beautiful people, like Novica, have long-running threads in which they detail their experiences with certain products.

If I had to choose between reviews and a 30 day return policy I'd take the return policy ;)

Frankly one line reviews are pretty worthless.  I'm not a tl;dr person, I like depth in reviews.

I really dont use reviews to make my purchases. The Daz forums are full of opinions about various items that are pretty useless to me. Especially when they come from people who dont even own the item

the product pages would be a help if they put the poly counts.

it makes a biiiggg diff to someone who wants to animate the stuff

i save a preset of every thing with no textures.
would be nice if every product had an untextured preload.
a preset for distance shots, with lo textures.
and then the super preset for close ups.

Although review system would be a nice added feature, being able to contact PA to ask questions prior to purchase or product malfuntion would be more applicable, not all PA's use commercial product section.  .

While some PAs come to the forum, what you just described is not their job, but Daz's, and you can contact them through the "Contact Us" link, found at the bottom of every Daz page.
