this new item looks awesomely fantastic! just wondering if i can use it since my laptop doesn't do dForce...
anyone kind enough to upload some pix without dForce? please with poses, not just standing zeroed!
alternatively, if the PA @Oso3D would like to give information it'd be welcome ^^

Well, it’s dynamic hair so it requires the dforce system to generate ‘hairs’.
But only a few promos actually simulate/drape the hair; most of the promos don’t use simulation.
Im on vacation at the moment so I can’t check, but the promos that drape tend to look more organic and vine droopy.
The promos with simulation:
Kneeling figure (negative gravity)
Skeleton in the water (regular with some water collision to hopefully spread it at the water)
Alien thing in tank (moved it backwards so the tendrils spread ‘toward’ the glass)
uuuh if it already needs dForce to generate them hairs, i think i can immediately forget about it. i have absolutely no experience nor knowledge about dynamic hair, so i didn't know that particularity - like, with a garment supposed to be used with dForce, depending on how the PA built the whole thing it might either be useable because there are enough morphs anyways, or it just stands stiff like a frisbee, but at least it's there...
whenever i try to click anything relative to dForce, i get an err msg because no openCL (and i updated my nvidia drivers, so if there's a solution, which i doubt, it would be far too tech for me, especially atm since i'm physically exhausted and intellectually unfocused and blank-ish due to stress + overexertion)
anyways, if anyone cares to upload test pixx... ^^
and enjoy your vacation @Oso3D :D
Are there any intructions? When I load up the character and render it, I am just getting whispy green bits, I can't seem to get thick branches or anything. I must be doing something wrong.
It will only show properly when rendered.
Nemo: you honestly don’t need to do much; load the figure, pose it, render.
Thank you :-) I didn't realise it wouldn't show in iray preview. It's all fine now :-)
If I used a more conventional approach I could have gotten a more WYSIWYG result.
But I decided to use displacement to ‘pinch’ the base so alas... but I think the result is worth it.
This was a quick test. I haven't done anything with simulating the new dforce hair before, so not sure how you'd go about that anyway. Just loaded it up and applied a few of the presets (there are two instances of the thicket here, one with thicker, lighter strands, and one with thin green ones. I also used a different character skin on the figure here, which is why you get more "skin" appearance showing through). I imagine with just a little more learning on my part there are a lot more opportunities to experiment, but I also like how this is looking out of the box!
so.. i guess it's what i'll get with my dForce incompatible gcard - either this or the well-known err msg.
so, wishlisted until later. i really need a new laptop ~
because my nvidia/laptop are old, like over 6-7 yrs (not sure, got it 2nd hand, but it's what i found out goggling the model), and openCL doesn't work - hence no dForce nor other physical stuff like fluidos etc. i tried updating drivers to the latest, no use.
*there was 1 thing i didn't try i saw a while ago, it wanted to replace ALL my nvidia drivers from scratch (and right now, my laptop WORKS fine, even without dForce - i'm not gonna risk fumbling with stuff i don't understand to the point that i might be unable to reset it cuz i'm not tech-savvy, and end up with NOTHING working at all...
