I've passed on quite a few things, but sometimes, like today, its very difficult. There are things today that used to be in my wishlist until I cleared all of it... in the cart it goes.
It adds up though, and now I'm pretty much not buying any new releases. So much more bang for the buck on sales, but still spend as much or more

Ah, Secret Valley... I was eyeing that one as well.
Way back in time I worked in a bedding department for a department store and we had sheet sales where sheets were $2.99 a package. Too many times someone came up with say 5 packages of sheets then wonder why the bill was $15+, they thought it would be $10. This sort of adds up the same way, no it's not $2 an item it's $3 ;)

I’ve been surprisingly resilient against the $2.99 sale, but broke down last night and bought the dForce Wardrobe and Shaders 1 & 2, which cost more than all the $2.99 items I’ve been tempted to buy this month.
its most difficult to pass by Ron's brshes, and at $2.99 is a steal really. You never know when you're going to need a set.
Some of the packages I've passed over aq hundred times at full price seem like a no brainer at $2.99. Then they throw in 30 other items that look mighty fine ...

By the way, I wanted to thank you for the wonderful freebies you created. I use your gem shaders all the time.
I bought Mykonos. I tried a quick render and it exceeded my expectation. There are 10 cameras that break each part into segments (because it is huge unless scale down). There is no skydome and lighting included in the package. Texture is high res but shaders can bring more vividness. I have no plans of returning it.
do you think DAZ will have a big catchup sale and return all of them on sale one more time?
I am not sure. Hopefully tomorrow for a big bang!
I know it's crazy how much I have spent. I just tell myself it's only 2.99 (which is about $4.00 CAD) and I'll just limit it to a couple....well maybe keep it at 5 oh but I can't pass that up. So I manage to whittle the list to the best 7 so it's roughly $18.00 US or $25 or so Canadian but every day. That's not counting the few new things I've picked up. It was a little better when we had the additional bonus savings. I think I've spent more since this started then I did in the March Madness. Mind you I've picked up a whole bunch of things on my wish list

This far into the sale, I'm forcing myself to really justify that I haven't got anything sufficiently similar, particularly if its characters, hair or clothing. No more "ooh, I could use that and it's only $2.99", but "that plugs a hole in my collection, and I'm really fortunate it's $2.99".
The vendors are being ULTRA nice to participate in the sale. Those are unbelievable prices for folks who don't already have the items. Regardless of whether we do or not, just a huge thank you to the PAs for doing this.
I've bought far too much of what's been offered, passing mainly on the Ironman13 and Lady Littlefox catalogs as I'd picked thrugh those heavily in previous sales and knew they'd be back at the same or even lower prices in the near future, along with a lot of the pre-genesis 3 female character and pose sets for the same reason, and add-ons for products I don't already own.
WooHoo! Everything is back on sale @ 2.99. Catch up now.
Not everything. the g7 base figures aren't back. but that might be because of the new bundle. Shame. I should have picked up Aiko 7 when I had the chance.
I take it back...Majority of the bundles were gone! I remember Charlotte 8 starter bundle, Brodie 6 bundle, and Monique 6 Pro Bundle. There were also Surat Spice bundle, Deadly shadows bundle, and Voodoo Queen bundle, and so on...
Now I know what happened: they become freebies when you buy Teen Jane under the $40 worth DO incentive.

yeah that was really a bad move from DAZ, they removed some key important stuffs from the sales to add to jane 8, to be more "attractive" for peoples to buy it, a really bad move from customer point of view.

Yeah, none of the 90%+ off items are back on sale. I'm glad I bought most of them. Unfortunately, spending too much on these temp PC+ sale, Valve's summer sale and Rendo's 50% off mid-year sale makes it harder for me to buy the Teen Jane 8 pro bundle.
