Looking for skin only products for ethnicities, not talking about characters but really just skins
ok, i know about the zev0
https://www.daz3d.com/skin-builder-8-for-genesis-8-females
i'm not talking about that, i'm talking about if DAZ have any seller which sell only "skins" like for exemple something like this:
https://www.daz3d.com/people-of-earth-faces-of-europe-genesis-8-female
but instead of "morphs", will be skins, like skin for different ethnicities, for exemple african, japanase or asian, caucasian, a seller which ofer different type of skins, specially for genesis 8 or 3(since most of the genesis 3 skins works on genesis 8
to be more clear i want something like that:
https://www.daz3d.com/da-saurian-skins-for-reptilian-6-hd
but for regular characters for G3 and G8, for different type of peoples.
i don't want a "full character just different type of skins, have any product like that or seller or i have to use the skin builder for that?

You might consider SickleYield & Fuseling's Beautiful Skins products...

You can apply shaders to transform a skin to match the shade that you want.
Having a dozen skins in a single product (not just shades of one skin)? I think that's unlikely. That's a LOT of work to stitch all those skins together. That product might exist, but it's not something that I've heard of.
that is the problem because it's for use outside daz then it can't be "shader" must be the textures, to be fair would also be a "character" aslong he does have multiple skin, something like that ones:
https://www.daz3d.com/alidreaux-for-genesis-8-female
https://www.daz3d.com/dark-elves-for-genesis-2-female-s
but not only for "male or female but for both(don't need to be a single product to have both male and female but products which does have "skin variations")
Never seen one; the most I've seen is a product that has some variations on the face and perhaps torso because they are twins/sisters/mother-daughter.
Agreed. If you just need textures, get a good merchant resource and then change the details and colors yourself in photoshop or gimp
Here's another "multiple skins" product.
https://www.daz3d.com/fantasy-races-aunrae-the-dark-elf
Those products have shades of the same skin. It's ultimately just different shading... not completely different maps. Those are good products, but it's not like they're stitching together "new" skins.
If you're using outside Daz, then just throw a filter on top (to save memory/space)? or otherwise shade it in PS/GIMP?
hmm interersting, they look interesting but for now i was looking for more "normal skin" not Fantasy ones but could give a try on that ones, i've used that ones because they where the only ones i found with more than "one skin" as almost humans, but i really want multiple regular human skins.
I've never seen a skin-textures-only product like you've described. As FSMCDesigns said, using merchant resources and editing them yourself would probably be the best solution. If you're not into Zev0's Skin Builder product, I would suggest looking at the Build-A-Babe texture merchant resource product by Hinkypunk. It's excellent, and even though it's G3, works on G8. You can use it's setup as a template as well for doing something similar for male textures. You can use it to create your own skins in Photoshop or another image editing program, and can add other merchant resource textures to it for more variety/versatility. That's probably the best way to get many different skin tones and variations if what you need has to be done with the texture maps themselves rather than with different texture settings within DS. Below are some examples of merchant resource textures (there are also others in the store) and the link to the Build-A-Babe product.

It'll seem weird that one of the best products from approximating many various skin shades for mixes of the 3 races is the Maxx HD Megapack but that's the case. The product has a lot of shader presets that can be used for G8M or G8F.
Also, I don't have this product but it is good too & that is the Altern8 product. However, it is good for changing the look of a skin material set to be appropriate for different lighting situations but the side-effect is it creates lots of different skin shades as they'd look in neutral lighting as well.
EDIT:
I left off Redz Studio's Tyrone for Darius 8 which has a great albino male skin that is very amenable to use as a base skin for editing in the Surfaces and L.I.E layers to create unique skins for different ethnicities. Think of it as a poor man's as a base skin for a manual G8M Skin Builder (combine it with Altern8 or Maxx HD Megapack shader (not textures and maps!) settings.
Daz had quite a few "Elite" textures for V4/M4. AFAIK, Marie Elite was the only one that actually came with a body and face morph. The rest were purely texture sets you would apply over your own dial spun characters, or other vendor's characters. Perhaps that idea didn't go over well, so they went forward with full character + skin texture sets. I've never really gone for skin builder systems, or merchant resources.
Edit: Some of them came with face morphs, but not a full character like most of what we see today.
Funny, I am working on a project that doest exatly what you want, but I'm not nearly completed with it yet. Daz and most other vendors are most interested in selling specific characters or at least the idea of characters, more so than multiple skins of large variation. It is literally THIS issue that has driven me to start creating my own textures from scratch. And no I dont use photo references because there are major limits to how far you can push photo based characters with photoshop filters before you start either diminishing or overcooking details. Plus I feel I can almost always tell when a pale or fair skinned texture has been darked in photoshop or with odd SSS settings. Learning to make your own skins is a ton of work, but once you do chances are you wont ever need to buy another skin. Best of luck with this!
wow really interesting news, would be really cool to have a artist focusing on "skins", making different type of skins
I think I read in another thread that DAZ doesn't accept texture only products like this, could be mistaken, but it would explain why there aren't any.
that would be pretty weird, because them we have a problem cuz we have some "skin only products" for exemple repitle 6 and minotaur 6 and others "creatures" have "skin only products", then the problem is just "humans"????, why???
Those would be add-on textures for a specific character and not just a generic texture pack.
Well it's a product I would buy if they did.
I am super excited by this! It will be an instant buy for me when you relase it.
me too, having a set "of skin tones/types" for different type of skins, would be really awesome than just having a single character with a single skin type, i also would buy that pretty fast.
You might be looking for products like these: https://www.3dscanstore.com/3d-head-models/retopologised-3d-head-models I have a library of scanned skin textures I use for my characters. The great part about them is they are far higher resolution and quality than Daz textures and they often come with specular, normal, SSS and even displacement maps to match. You won't need the meshes so you could ditch them and it still would be worth your efforts. Just need to reproject them to Genesis UV's and plug them into your iRay shader.
I think we are all excited and pleased that you are making this product. It is a daunting task; granted, when people get it wrong, it is often amusing and disturbing....https://www.insider.com/becca-cosmetics-accused-making-white-models-hand-darker-2018-8.
