Question About New Strand Hair Products

So if I understand correctly, all of the new releases today that involve hair or fur (or even grass?) use this new strand hair thing.  Is the strand hair only for Iray, or can I convert it to 3Delight like I do other things?  I know I can't usually use Oso stuff because it uses the Iray Oso Fur, but I hope these are different?

The Strand-Based Hair editor supports both 3Delight and Iray shaders. Of the products for sale today, dForce Bristol Hair for Genesis 8 by AprilYSH includes 3Delight materials.

Perfect!  So I should be able to convert the new furs.  Thanks! ^_^

By the chnage log from one of the later betas there are differencs in how the models work in Iray and 3Delight so converting may be a bit fiddlier than usual.

Oh no!  Rats, I guess when I get some money I'll have to try one and see if they work.  I was hopeful that it would work just using my conversion shader.
