How to place elements precisely next to each other

Is there an easy way to place elements precisely when using products such as this one to make larger rooms out of smaller wall/floor/ceiling segments?

    The Align pane, if you are using DS - Window>Panes(Tabs)>Align. Select the piece you want to use as an anchor first, then select the other(s), set the options you want for each axis in the pane, and click Apply. It works on the bounding box, so won't work immediately if there are projecting elements.
