anyway here it's what is used as base to handle nudity
https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/3279/acceptable-ways-of-handling-nudity#latest
Ok I have to express my opinion:) There's something fundamentally wrong with the way this "modern" society is dealing with nudity in general, treating it like something forbidden or something that has to be hidden does more harm than good. That said I'm perfectly fine with the way things are with DAZ store regarding this topic.
Load almost any Genesis model and turn on the Iray preview with your grandma and kids around and get back to me. LOL.
So which one's hotter, the t- or the a- pose?
For game developers, they have to have to purchase an additional Interactive Licence for a product to be able to use the product in their games.
I wouldn't do that in the first place. besides, I am fine with my kids seeing a naked 3d model, there is nothing wrong with nudity, just not them having control of how it is used
Yeah and I thought this was about nudity in the store
I want to make a comment about an online store being nude, but I am trying not to.
I agree.
If it really is for protecting children's minds I think there are other things it would be more relevant to ban:

It seems to me that some people consider nudity the root of all evil.
How it has come to that is beyond me.
Too expensive for kids, lol ... my son started using Daz at 5 years of age.
Most stores I go to throw me out if I’m nude... I really don’t blame them though...
"we don't sell clothes here..."
You can browse online stores wearing whatever you want as long as you are in a private setting in your house.
not exactly like that, i've asked then about that, you only need the licence when you are about to "release the game", you don't need that licence to "develop it", the license is only when you gonna distribuct it to others peoples, as long you are in the "development stage" you can work fine without buy it, but you will need it before release.
Does your son spend his pocket money on his own assets? Or does he use yours?
Again, I don't care if there is a policy or not banning nudity in the gallery, there is plenty around elsewhere, I just mentioned it would be nice, and should be expected to see a nude preview before purchase so I and everyone else can make an informed decision before buying it.
So If I stand naked in the middle of Walmart, as long as I am in a T pose its all good and the cops wont arrest me? Fascinating.
Why does the pose matter? That makes no sense. Nudity is nudity regardless of context.
Its the hypocrisy behind the policy and the comment Chris made: "Except that doesn't mean children don't use Studio or look through the store, forums or galleries."
Key part of that talking about children using the program. If you are "protecting" children from the horrors of nudity in the store and gallery, how does it make sense that there is no such protection inside Daz Studio. Again, I point out that these models have these features that are banned in the forum by default on most presets. And none of these items actually state this fact. So the whole argument that the store bans nudity because of children is nonsensical when the app features it so prominently. Very few characters load with clothes on. I can only think of Victoria 4 loading with some underwear on her texture, and maybe a few other characters once in a very rare blue moon.
I don't care if we show naughty stuff. Not one bit. I'm one of the people that thinks the gen prop should not be exclusive to pro bundles, and I would like some kind of way for people to see the full product before they buy. Somehow other sites manage to do this, manage to stay listed on Google, and manage to keep payment providers. This is not a porn site, it is an art asset site. Apparently Daz had an over 18 site at one point but killed it.
Back to sharing, family sharing should be something that can be allowed. If it isn't, IMO the EULA sucks and such a policy is holding back Daz Studio more than helping it. Sharing is how you get more people into Daz and grow the market base. Otherwise, the family member using Daz may just keep it to themselves and nobody else gets anything. Who wants to buy things twice just for their kids? Some people might, but that's ridiculous. For comparison Steam has a policy in place that allows a user to create accounts specifically for their children. They can enable them to install and play games under these accounts without needing to buy the game twice, or more. They can also control exactly what games the child accounts have access to, giving them an element of parental control. Steam is enjoyed by millions of people around the world...and their families.
Such a system would be great for Daz. It would allow a parent to give their kid a children's account to play around with Daz Studio. Then the kid gets older, they can get their own account and start using the program for themselves (thus becoming a paying customer). This would allow Daz a chance to grow naturally along family lines. And maybe the parent does buy items just for their kids along way, too. There are more ways to profit off of this system than making people angry over how they can't share anything. Daz content gets expensive in a hurry.
"Its the hypocrisy behind the policy and the comment Chris made: "Except that doesn't mean children don't use Studio or look through the store, forums or galleries.""
For the record, I didn't state policy. I made a comment that was me thinking on the spot and it was pointed out to me that it wasn't directly relevant to the topic as it was stated. I realize that my mod-ship may seem to give me the power to convey policy. I can explain forum policy (with the ToS in mind), but I have nothing to do with policy elsewhere. Furthermore, Cris, and not Chris, is short for Cristina, just FYI. This is, however, a reason for me to be more cautious with what I say. I apologize for the misunderstanding.
IIRC the policy is because of push-back from the credit card issuers. I know Patreon just (well - a couple of months ago) went through a period of migrating from collection service to collection service and finally had to have all contributors move any and all NSFW items to subscriber only. The issue was allowing NSFW to be visible to anyone using the site - even casual viewers.
From my years as a marketing consultant, I saw this happen from time to time. The banks that handle merchant acounts do not want their names to be associated with p0rn0graphy. Other markets avoided include online gambling and sites that sell tobacco products. It's not that these sites can't get credit card processing, but instead of having an actual merchant account, they end up with a go-between, an entity that has the merchant account and processes credit/debit cards on the behalf of the website. And the fees those middlemen charge can be quite high, sometimes two or three times what a merchant account would charge. I've always thought it made good business sense for Daz to keep the site family friendly.
Ellessarra you need to contact DAZ for further clarification as I have always understood it the license is granted to the account holder only.
Yeah... I know... I’m wearing a pirate costume now (my gorilla costume finally fell apart)... it really isn’t as much fun though if nobody gets confused by my attire... it’s like showing up for work in your pajamas and then finding out you didn’t get the memo that today was “pajama Wednesday”... kinda robs the glory and satisfaction from the whole thing.
No, that doesn’t work, I tried it once... but it does work on T-Rexes... as long as the test subject stands real stil and doesn’t fart or anything.
There is no conclusive data indicating which if any pose leads less to the subject being devoured if they move or fart.
I don't see what all the fuss is about anyway. I see a naked girl every night when i get undressed for bed .i see nothing special in it.
But if you guys must insist in having naked ladies posted everywhere. here is a Bear naked lady for ya, I hope you like her
Bear Naked Lady
I can't answer to this one, as I would probably state some "cultural stereotypes" again, by saying that in different regions of the world the people living there might have different views about seeing this picture in a surrounding where it can be seen by children. Or anyone...
Sorry, couldn't find a bra that fit
The main question should be: why has this cow three udders? Mutation? Will she give milk out of all three?
Just my two cents, as someone who grew up in a "liberal" country where nudity was allowed in children's media... As children we thought it was really gross, and wondered why adults put it in. I'll be seeing myself out now.
I've mentioned this before, I think in one of the "Where are the gens?" threads. I got started in the hobby around V4's debut or just before. Today, gens element thumbnails are Extremely Discreet, my favorite being the fig leaves. At that time, the M3 & M4 gens* thumbnails were anatomically correct, and the thumnails were about twice the size of the current ones.
*I don't recall seing female elements then
