    Back from vacay, here is my first try with Kala with a few tweeks.  Couldn't wait for the render to finish though.

    Finally got a Kala 8 render done. This is her back-converted to G3F, with a G8 outfit and textures back-converted to G3F, and a Victoria 4 hair with Backlit shaders on it. I cranked the "shoulder scale" morph up to 10% to offset the size of the head.

    Is anyone having trouble with Kala's main makeup maps? I apply them but they don't apply. I had to resort to applying them in the LIE editor by hand. Maybe I should re-install.

    What happened for me was that they wouldn't show up in textured preview window but would be visible once I switched to Iray preview. I don't know if that's what you encountered, but just sharing FWIW.

    Yes, the Iray versions use the Diffuse Overlay which doesn't show in the non-Iray preview modes.

    I run into this problem with other G8F characters, I think Tika was one of them. But I don't use the makeup options that come with a lot of the bases, so then I forget how to resolve it when I am using them. Good reminder.

    Ok..I reapplied the original and sure enough..the maps are there in the diffuse. They were hard to see because the maps are transparent overlays and they look like it really doesn't have a map on the surfaces tab. Plus they don't show up unless in Iray preview like Odaa said. I was wondering if I was nuts...LOL. First time I've run into this on a character besides something like a body glitter or the like. Nevermind..erase erase erase...as my mother used to say! Thanks guys :)
