Getting lost in clones - Would like to convert G3F clothing to G1

I am getting a tad confused by which clone(s) I would need to convert autofit a piece of clothing for G3F down to G1.  Would somone be willing to point me to the correct product or to a tutorial that shows me how to create one of my own?  Thank you for your time.

    So you want a G3F outfit to work on Genesis 1?  Is it the whole outfit or just a part like a shirt?  or is it a skirt?
