I have Steely Dan going thru my head now...lol.
"Are you with me, Dr. Wu....are you really just a shadow....."
o.O
Laurie
I'm fine being the first gripe on this one. (First though, glad we got Mr. Woo, always glad to get male pairs to female figure releases.
I was happy to see that dforce on vacation outfit in the thumbnails. There are a lot of asks for contemporary everyday male clothing, something like this can work on a lot of figures. The collar of the shirt has a really good shape too, and if it isn't quite a camp collar it is pretty close.
So, why are the buttons on the outside of the placket, on the button hole side? Is there any chance something like this can be fixed? For all the other details on this, like the pockts and seams on the shorts and the buckle on the fanny pack, how does this happen?
Don't rush in. Wait for the purple banner, if you are eligible. But NOTE: the discount offered on the banner is not working at this time. Wait for it to kick in.
And I look forward to getting Mr. Woo, too!
Give everything about an hour. The insite is already working for me, very good discounts.
Love Woo and everything in the bundle (except one outfit).
BUT why are all the prods lumped together instead of being separated into what's IN the bundle and what's NOt. It's very confusing.
It's an interesting bundle. Gui HD looks for all the world like he should be either Lee 8's father/grandfather, or an older version.
And a 13-item pro bundle!
@Cris Palomino, can you please clarify the wording of the purple banner? Is it a SINGLE USE offer? I've gotten 10% off twice already today.
It says, "please enjoy an EXTRA 10% OFF of your entire purchase today."
If "purchase" had been "cart," I would be certain of the meaning as single use. If "today" had been omitted, I would have assumed it was single use. But the odd combination of "entire purchase today" made me wonder.
10% off isn't that good considering the recent sales, which I didn't take part in as I've used my money on Marvelous Designer instead.
10% off added to other discounts helps
I guess you could test it by putting another item in your cart after your initial purchase.
I paid the least amount for a Pro bundle with all the discounts today. And even adding the four add-ons and then getting $60 worth of DOs, I felt I made out pretty good.
You're right! I went in through the March Madness banner...going in via Mr Woo gives the separation.
Thank You! (I was getting so confused)
One good thing (for me, not for Daz) is that the longer the 10% discount stays absent, the more items I'm culling from my cart. So far, I've dropped over $80 worth of items, almost half of my original cart.
But don't you get extra discounts as a PA?
Wow... that looks beyond sloppy. Could someone really not know how buttons work? Or is the other side supposed to go on top and it's been mis-set... I noticed that the money belt is cutting into the back of the shirt as well, so maybe the outfit was designed for a much broader figure and they've had to wrap it oddly to fit Mr. Woo's spinly form?
Beyond that, though, the only other major gripe I can put up is that the "Related Item" selection absolutely stinks, given that it's all bundles and it seems to have been designed to make it almost impossible to buy something close to the $60 worth of items. Either you don't use all the credit and get something free or combine items and pay a hefty fee... well, that's assuming that you can find something that you don't already own, as there were only three bundles left that I didn't have all or almost all of already., and getting the two cheaper items would cost me an extra $18 out of the pocket for stuff I don't really want. No thanks, I'll take the one most expensive item and wirite off the bonus.
He's not the only one. But then I did get the purple banner as well.
That would have been applied to previous bundles too, so it doesn’t change the fact that this one is the cheapest in a while.
I think the PC+ is not working with the "featured DAZ ORIGINALS" from the MM sales page
I'm comparing to what I normally get to what I got this time and it def some of the lowest.
This Pro bundle makes me want to do Big Trouble in Little China fan art.
Most of the stuff isn't directly related to that movie, but the pro bundle invoked that movie in my mind.
Or Mortal Kombat... Mr Woo reminds me just a bit of an older Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. He's the guy that played Shang Tsung in MK, and he was also in a number of other movies, including The Last Emperor (when he was younger). The face isn't an exact match, but it looks close enough that morphs might get you the rest of the way...
Mr. Woo's face is a bit more wrinkly though, so maybe not... it was a thought! Not sure how well it would go if you Mr. Woo partway maybe to make him look younger. You might end up losing to much other shaping details, but of course you won't know until you try I guess...
Anyways, this looks like a rather interesting pro bundle to me! The up to $60 in free stuff may be a bit problematic for me, though. Most of the related items are bundles, and I have chunks of most of those bundles already... or aren't interested in the related items. But that's how it goes these days.
Playing shopping cart Jenga now.
Mr Chow Woo Pro Bundle has 6 outfits rather than the usual 4.
Buy a gift card if you have the purple banner. With the 10% off offer, I bought a gift card worth $80 for $72.
I then got Mr Chow Woo Pro Bundle, HD Add-On, ALL of the texture add-ons for the Pro Bundle outfits, the trenchcoat, Emma&Jordi's Mixable expressions, and the $60 free DO bundles for $61.41 (or so).
However, since I'd already gotten 10% off of the credit, the actual net price was $55.27. Haven't had a deal on a Pro Bundle package like that since Elijah 7 or Tween Ryan 7.
Oh, Mr Woo, what shall I do? I've got the spent too much at Daz already blues!
He is wonderful. I know I will have to have him. I love the older chaps. Now to do the dance of putting things in and out of my basket all day to five the best deal.
And base, starter or pro bundle... Cos Mr Woo's a must have purchase now.
(I am also a huge George Formby fan, which seals the deal)
I really wish that Daz hadn't changed the damn release day.. had they released him tuesday as they have done for quite some time by now, I would have had the credits I had Saved for just such an event.. but of course they went and changed it. And it's a bundle I would have been interested in too, just makes me so dissapointed.
Mr Woops, maybe?
Yeah... but for me, and perhaps others, it's the other way around since my credit card reset for the new month yesterday. We've all been caught out like that. Still sucks, though, when it happens.
Gui HD reminds me a bit of James Hong. Again, might ne reachable with a few face morphs...
The chins and cheeks are similar - that's where I'm seeing somewhat of a resemblance. The chin, jaw corners, nose, brows, eye shapes and a few other things would need tweaking, and a bit of face widening probably, but yeah doesn't look all that far off to me. Not a really close match currently, but it could be with some work...
Most people won't care about this, but for those that do fan art..
Me, too.
I'm canonizing it right now:
Mrs. Chow = Mei Lin's Mother
Mr. Woo = Lee's Father
Mei Lin Chow & Lee Woo. ;)
Just checked out with the Pro Bundle and a bunch of other goodies. The HD Add-On looks incredible:
Looking forward to messing around with all of it, but unfortunately I'm heading out of town and won't get a chance until next week . . . doh!
