Is there a commercial/support thread for this that I've missed?

Isn't it a cool product?! OMGosh, can't wait to play!
LOL yes it is!!!!
When I first saw it in the store, I was "huh?? what the heck is that???"
Then I started looking through the promos and it was "OMG OMG LOOK AT THAT!!!!"
I did a really really basic render of the Curious Hallway when I was half way through the pdf...it looked SO cool. LOL.
But I was hoping for a commercial thread so I could get more tips. :D
Agreed, I was pretty amazed at the transformation of the props.. :)
That was a discovery for sure. The more I read, the cooler it got. A very, very clever product.. Should be really interesting to use.
I'm definitely interested in buying this but if it's shader based will it work with the iRAY renderer? Maybe I'm misunderstanding but do shader based products need to be compatible with iRAY for them to work?
Commercial thread up now

Definitely requires more concrete help with scene setting. A couple of Videos would really help. I tried reading other posts but they aren’t helping.
I can not get rid of the checkered patterns on my renders. It looks like a great product but is sadly let down by the instructions. Not everyone is a Daz 3D expert!
I tried the original 3Delight version and rendered in 3Delight but could not get it to work. I couldn’t even get the pattern part to work.I then tried, out of curiosity, adding a mirror IRay shader to the prop and that.didn’t work either. I’m hesitant to try the new version because I couldn’t even get the pattern part to work in the old version. I read the pdf and it didn’t help. I tried everything I could and gave up. If there were better instructions and I could get the old 3Delight version to work as a test, I’d definitely get the new one since I don’t even use 3Delight.
There's a PDF for the 3DL version in the ReadMe's folder in My Daz3D Library. Basically load an exterior scene with lights, select an appropriately sized Kaleidoscope prop, click on one of the Render Settings icon from the product, then render.
Yep, tried exactly that. Couldn’t get it to work.
