Has anyone noticed Star 2's eyes?

Has anyone noticed Star 2's eyes? They follow you when the scene is rotated. Just load the base not the "Load Eyes"

    Melody 2.0 does the same.

Maybe they're both related to Mona Lisa?

Star uses an old trick you can see in carvings and other 3D objects with eyes that follow you. They are hollow, with the iris in the back of the eye, not the front. You will notice that upon loading the Star preset she loads with an eye lens. This eye lens is clear and covers her eyes so you do not notice they are hollow.

Also, Star's eyes are emmisive! Bet you didn't know that. They will glow in the dark. This is done to hide the fact that they are hollow, otherwise you would have horrifying shadows in her hollow eyes. The light also adds to her toony look by keeping her eyes pure white, which is hard to do with Iray.

The reason for all of this is that Star's eyes have such an extreme shape, so if she had true eyes they would rotate out of her head depending on the pose.

Somebody made an add on that gives Star proper eyes by using some interesting tricks so they rotate properly. 3DOutlaw if my memory is correct.

Yes, the effect was kinda creepy when i first loaded star 2. I'll have to look for 3doutlaw's work around.

I had a haunted toupee follow me several blocks once until it was run over by a cab... never had eyeballs follow me.
