Pop Pop (Pop shield) - for microphone - looking for one

most recording studios use a pop shield in front of the mic.
Does anyone know where to get one? I was about to buy Digitallab3D Recording Studio but note there is not one there.

Are there any other recording studio packages that include a pop shield or a mic product with one?

I couldn't find one either, but I bashed one using the clamp from this (bottom of image) with some Nurnies Greebles Parts and Pieces Vol 2, although the latter can be replaced with primitives (torus, cylinder) judiciously transformed. I used a combination of Mec4D's PBS Shaders and Cyborg Shaders for materials. I don't have an appropriate render available.

BlueTreeStudio's Recording Studio at Renderosity has one, though it's part of a hanging mike mount.  EDIT - whoops, there's also a standing mike version. It's a pretty expensive set though, and just as easy to fake one with primitives and shaders.

thanks... put it in wishlist ..
i will attempt to do the primitive and shader deal. it will be fun and/or frustrating if nothing else laugh

I modeled a basic one this morning in Carrara if that helps out...

It's in the Wacky Modeling Thread if you want to use it. smiley

    no go there lol

you can zero out the pose and export as an obj then import into the plugin called DS and try rigging from there  ( if it imports ok ) .. I don't use it so can't be of much help there.. wink

    thanks sven... blush

that was the 1st thing i did..it comes into DS all straight from top to bottom. it looks great smiley Now just need to learn how to do rigging and viola...
the other thing I might do is separate it into parts ... the shield, shaft, and clamp ... prior to export. then it might be easier to rig. not sure. I will figure it out. Time is not a problem for me...I'm retired. laugh
