Here is a Chiko Roll I just did in Carrara... you can get it in the modeling thread
I work for a bakery that makes meat pies I doubt they are much healthier maybe I should model one
Great Job Stezza I am sure I could do some suggestive renders
I was doing a 'renaissance faire' render and discovered that I do not have, and cannot seem to find, a big turkey drumstick, obligatory faire fare.
can you scale up a chicken leg?
BTW did they have Turkeys in the old world or geese and pheseants?
Turkeys came to Europe in the 1500's and were brought from America by the Spaniards, who picked them up in Mexico
Couldn't find a good chicken leg either (kindly suggest?). Foods are rarely authentic at renaissance faires. Not only are many of the ingredients modern or new-world (e.g., tomatoes or potatoes), but if you read recipes from the period, they are rarely what the general public would consider palatable. In any case, even if turkeys were known in Elizabethan times, they weren't the mammoth agricultural product we see today; they were wild turkeys, the clever birds that Ben Franklin thought should be the national bird for their cunning in evading hunters. And with God as my witness, _those_ turkeys can fly.
exnem fried chicken on rendo works well. I’ve used it before but the color is more orange than an turkey might be.
Well Renaissance faires are not exactly authentic anyway. THe US of A did not have a renaissance as such, that all comes for Britain and Europe. We did not have turkeys in Britain or Europe in the 14th to 15th centuries, the first turkeys to arrive in Britain did so in the 16th Century and then it would have been Royalty and the Nobility which could afford them. Large meat birds prior to that would have been swans and geese, and possibly peacocks for those who wanted to appear very exotic, Peacocks are not indigenous to Europe either, but wer imported form the east.
The original Renaissance Pleasure Faire was created by Ray and Phyllis Patterson in 1963. It has always portrayed a country faire being visited by Queen Elizabeth I and her entourage. Under the original ownership, it was a California not-for-profit educational production ("The Living History Centre"), and genuinely attempted to be authentic, though with a lot of theatrical latitude, of course. Although the food is not authentic, Phyllis was adamant about the food service being suitably 16th-century low tech. Thus, things like the skewered steak chunks ('Steak on a Stake') and the turkey leg, staples of all RenFaires to this day.
I'd like a whole cooked chicken in successive stages of being eaten Clarles Laughton style:
i need a realistically textured hostess twinkie for a coffin scene
dForce spaghetti / ramen noodles - on a fork, on chopsticks, andd a version that parents to a character's mouth, plus matching plated servings and a portion cooking in a pot.
A peelable banana with dforce skin and multiple bite morphs.
breakable egg - split open with liquid white/yoke and a hardboiled version with partially removable shell.
We have a lot of bar models, so some bowls of peanuts, pretzels, or finger foods like hot wings, might be useful.
I didn't know what a twinky was so I kinda modeled one in Carrara for you...
it's in the Wacky Modeling thread
I tried Dforce noodles and spaghetti when it first was released, it was not terribly successful and I cannot seem to find where I posted it or if I did a video
yes but on Facebook

There's always the Blender donut tutorial if you just want a donut ;-)
