[SOLVED] Something is up with DIM

Seems I've been blocked somehow from logging into my account using DIM. I've got some new purchases and can't access them unless I want to go to my account manually download and install them. What the heck is going on with DIM now?
Just on a side note. I have a new ISP, WAVE Broadband and I'm using my Wifi fast connection but I wouldn't think that would make any difference.
HELP!

i just tried mine and it worked fine. I know some sites will block you if you use different ip address of your system than usual.perhaps that is what is going on.
Hmmm, well then I need to know how to configure DIM to use the address I'm using now.. I would think that would be automated via a system handshake with the DAZ servers. I've just done two updates, Adobe and Reallusion with no issues using their hubs. So DIM is not working as it should as far as I'm concerned.
Hmmm, I just used DIM to install some content I purchased last night and didn't have any problems. Also I've never had any problem with witth a new IP address when I have gotten a new one (from resetting my modem, etc.)
Have you tried removiing and retyping your name and password for the DIM sign in? Maybe the one you have stored has beome corrupt.
Yes, tried that as well!
It's up to you to enter the correct information - how else could it identify you to know what it should use?
But the info is correct! I've retypted it in manually and copy and pasted in multiple times. The password is correct. I have a digital copy of it for safe keeping and never had this issue before.
Is there a good error message? Like that says you are blocked.
There is but it's about my password but that's correct!
also be sure to clear your cache ...
Your the lucky one. Continues to be an issue for me.
There are so many, which cache are you referring too?
Even created a new account entry in DIM, seems to be OK with that. NOTHING. Same message!
well, at this point, all of them? I use CCleaner..it does the browsers, windows explorer, and system

Try rebooting your machine, and also try reinstalling DIM
Try resetting your password both onsite and in DIM. That worked for me a couple of years ago when the same thing was happening to me Worse case scenario is that you'll have to change your password in both places, but you can change them right back afterwards if you want.
Can you log-in successfully via DS - Connect>Log-In?
May be realted ... I updated by Octane (and Octane fotr DS) a while back and it wanted to connect to confirm licene use. It failed to connect. I changed router in use and it connected. It looked liek theer was somethign strange about the 1st router which was sending the connect attempt elsewhere!
Seems so. I don't use Connect or the Install feature directly in DAZ Studio. I do have the Install window up and it seems to see things from my account. Now the only stuff that's going to show are stuff I've purchased, correct? Is there a way to look at recent purchases only like I can with DIM? I may just go this route as this DIM issue is just too messed up!
You can sort by order date, I'm not sure of the syntax for the filter box or if it can search directly on order date.
Yea, seems DAZ hasn't got that set up for Connect as of yet. I'll look into the Order date ... YUP, I see Maxx HD from Hellboy at the top there.
I guess this will do until I can try dragotx suggestion by reinstalling DIM.
Now if I do go that route of reinstalling are the old directory paths retained in some file on my hard drive or should I make a note of them just in case? I have my directorties not in the usual places ....
OK, something I do not like. Maxx was installed in the Connect folder, I don't that there. I'm afraid that it's on the C drive which is a SSD drive with limited space so I need to know how to change where Connect installs files or I'm back to square one with figuring out what's going on with DIM!
It's been a while since I reinstalled DIM, but if I remember correctly the previous directory settings were still there when I reinstalled. And what you saw with it installing to C: with connect is exactly why I don't use connect at all. you can theoretically assign connect to install someplace else, but even with that i'm not a fan of how it installs.
You can change where it installs to in the Content Directory Manager. Like you all my files go on an external drive, see attched as an example.
This prompted me to go digging, and in fact the first sample on the Advanced Filtering page is exactly selecting a range of order dates - so you could simply copy the example, paste it into the Smart Content filter field, save it and then just recall and edit the date as needed http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/interface/panes/smart_content/advanced_filtering/start#fnt__6
Thanks folks. I'll deal with this tomorrow as I have to run off to my day job burning hair!
So........... submitted a ticket this AM to DAZ for some further investigating about this issue. I did try the uninstall and reinstall suggestion. I even rebooted the computer to make sure crumbs were not there... nope. Reinstalled, and your correct, the paths were obviously saved in some hidden text file somewhere and were reinstated but nope... same error message!
So tried something. Took out the old log file and all my login info under the AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\InstallManager path and started up DIM. Had to, of course put in new creditials.... but still getting that pop up error. Here is the newly created log files info:

Perhaps that will give someone a notion as to what to try next. I'm determined to get this fixed.
I did set the path of the Connect to my default install path but upon doing that I seem to have lost most of the icons for the Connect and a bunch of other stuff so not sure what happend there. I guess with default DS there is an instance of Genesis 2 male and female, they are no longer loadable. There are other bits and pieces that now seem moot as they won't load.
Thanks for the help!
Also, something else that's quite strange. Just installed Maxx under the new path... UH, DAZ, what's up man.... you installed the entire package to the data folder, including the Runtime textures and all the rest. WTF?
That's a Connect install - each product gets its own folder in the Data/Cloud folder. DS can then show an aggregate in the Daz Connect virtual folder in the Content Library, so the aren't split up there.
