Sooo after a few unsuccesful tries I am willing to give it another try with some help to point me in the right direction.
I read that you can rig items in DAZStudio but I hardly see any threads about people actually using DAZ for this.
Is it too basic and is Hexagon a better idea?
Can anyone point me to some great free and/or paid resources, because I am getting lost with the tuts I google ><<br /> In the store are some rigging primitives but it states they are for DAZStudio or other software.
Is there a resource for Hexa as well?

The 2 Fugazi tutorials on creating content (the one linked above and his other one on creating a basic bikini) are both excellent resources for using Hexagon to create content for DS. And his shop is on sale today so a good time to pick them up.

Basically for creating the actual content you'll want to use a modeling program such as Hexagon or Blender. You then import that into DS and do the rigging. Fugazi's tuts walk you through the basics of that process.

That, of course, assumes that you're wanting to create clothing content. If you're wanting to create other types of content you might want to look at blondie9999's tutorials: Riggning Original Figures in DS4 (http://www.daz3d.com/rigging-original-figures-in-ds4-pro) and Advanced Rigging ind DS 4 (http://www.daz3d.com/advanced-rigging-in-daz-studio-4-pro)

    Awesome tips, thank you all!
It never sprang to mind that there's a Hexagon forum as well...duh.
And indeed I am looking for creating props not so much clothing, but who knows what the future holds in store...
Looking forward to the weekend to make use of the tips here, thanks again!
