Possible to have a frame accurate video play alongside the DAZ timeline?

Would there be interest in having a new pane/tab added to DAZ Studio to play frame accurate video with the timeline? For example, I can scrub through the timeline and the video/audio will scrub along side it. DAZ Studio may not be the most amazing animation suite but it would be nice thing to have and keep things more within a single software.

It's already possible to import audiofiles to the timeline, and you can scrub, although a little clunky;) Granted there are some things that really could be improved. For example, if you render an animation starting at frame 100, the added audio always plays from the beginning so will not sync. Not sure why you would want to playback video from within DS though?

No, you can adjust where the audio starts. When importing the audio file you can see some options on the lower part of the window along with a input box where you can set the starting frame.

That's true, but after you've imported the audio, if you just want to render part of the animation not starting at frame 0 the audio will still playback from the start of the audiofile. The offset you specified at import will be added.

Oh, I do use that functionality but it takes multiple scrubs to get the animation right. Having a waveform would definitely help in this regard immensely. Having a companion video also helps.

Even MMD has something similar to the above - except for the video part.
