The Non-DAZ3D Figure Render Thread

I know, there is one in the Poser forum, but everybody does it now and then - render a figure not by Daz3d ...
Sooooooo - this thread is for renders of Non Daz3D figures made by Bryce, Carrara, Dazstudio, Poser and Vue artists.

I don't see where it is forbidden to use 3rd party figures in our art and share said art on those forums. Besides, Dawn isn't the only 3rd party figure and I very much remember whole contests (both item-making and renders) for 100% 3rd party figures like Nursoda's Slon being held here.

Not really - the thread in the Poser forum was started by a forum moderator (Ann) and this thread was started because Chohole told me it is ok - and three of those rendering softwares are DAZ softwares, right?

Yes, can also be Cookie, Hein and all those other 3rd party figures. Which we all know and do use.

i mention those because they are figures I have used in Bryce renders like this one.

I wouldn't think it would be a problem. Linking to those non-DAZ3D products, OTOH, would probably be a problem.

    What??

Nobody posted a render of Milkshake, from Content Paradise?

Probably my favorite Non-Daz figure out there!

Here's the first image I ever posted in a contest that actually won a prize of some sort.

@ Sockratease: You have a strange and unique style. It frightens me and leaves me a little intrigued at the same time.

    Thankies!

    Always glad to frighten people.

It's interesting, but I hear that a lot. I just looked up an old post of mine to help somebody in the Cowrarra forum who wanted to render a wireframe - and when I found it, sure enough - somebody called my example "certainly interesting, kinda scary too" (Thread is HERE)

I take that as high praise!

Kerya, lovely render. I've found it difficult to compose a scene with that rock, though I love it. You nailed it here.

And Chohole, nice scene using one of my favorite interiors. Love how you posed those mice.

Speaking of Nursoda stuff....three of his characters along with Diamond. The background is by Jane Eden who has a nice painterly touch. I added the AS Rock and a bunch of misc greenery.

Hey, Spit - that's nice work!

I like the background too - have to look into this Jane Eden person one day if I ever get any spending money...

While I'm here, may as well post another image. This is from a series called Kamen Rider Gets A New Ride

It's a nice image, but the story could easily be lost on most people as I seriously doubt many of us here even know who Kamen Rider is, let alone the "New Ride" joke.

But ya never know - so here it is! (Used Carrara's Non-Photoreal Render Engine)

Thanks Kerya and Sock...I don't get the joke, but that's a nice example of what Carrara can do. I was this close to grabbing the latest Carrara, but the interface elements are so tiny my eyes said no way. It's hard enough in Studio, a program I know, and Bryce, a program I used to know.

Hey, Matty, cute Cookie. Don't see how anyone could resist her.

Thanks! I love little Samedi.

This week for me was "render psychopomps and Dead Bunny," so adding a companion to "Samedi vs. Samedi." This one is "Death vs Lil Death."

In "Samedi vs Samedi," I think (big) Samedi was growling something like "Put. That. Down. Now. You're scaring Dead Bunny."

In "Death vs. Lil Death," I suspect Death is yelling "How many times do I have to tell you the scythe is just for show?!"

I'm not sure if Lil Death Godfrey counts; he's not a DAZ figure, exactly, but he is sold at DAZ. BTW, I'm sure Dead Bunny will be fine, if a little peeved -- he is hanging out with psychopomps. (But I bet he'd feel better if he could nibble on that carrot-headed guy...mmmm, grilled carrot!)

Lil Death Godfrey counts ... it's just no Vickies, Mikes, Aikos, Genesises ...

    And poor little Godfrey! Awwwwww!

As for the Flaming carrot: *giggles even more*
