It was working fine, then halfway through downloads, slowed to a crawl.

Same with me. Was downloading four packages. The first two were lightening fast and then suddenly it dropped to painfully slow speeds.

Mine has currently gone to zero KBS, so it's totally stalled, no restarts, nothing seems to fix it, must be on Daz's end.

Manual downloads are slow as well.   We are going to report this.

Thanks Chohole. Still no joy with DIM

  • My manual downloads have all failed, multiple times, in the past two days.

For those of you using Dim,  can you close it and restart it

@DarwinsMishap     If you have a download fail it is best to clear the browser cache before you try downloading it again, as the partial or corrupted file can stick in your cache and cause the Download to fail at the same place again.

I closed DIM and it went from very slow to nothing at all.

Maybe you should clear the cache.     the DIM is working for those who tested on a fresh start.

  • um, how do I clear DIM cache? blush

DIM looks to be back, but my connection is quite slow all by itself smiley

  • DIM still slow after rebooting and restarting

Cho, I have two files left to download. They are large and continue to Fail even after cleaning cache and restarting DIM. Previous download speed was fluctuating up and down from 100 kbs to 10 mbs.

YUP, same here.  Took about 2 minutes for the new and updated files to appear.  Maybe they are uploading a new something something and their servers are taxed out!  Maybe the new DAZ Studio is going to hit finally or maybe Genesis 9  LMAO  I love to tease you folks!  cheeky

Quite a bunch of people at Daz looking into this at the moment.

Thanks. Yeah, there is something funky going on. I just made a few purchases and MacarenaHD at 241 MB downloaded in 2 seconds which is the norm for me. Then I tried a Zeddicuss pose set at 8.1 MB and it took ten minutes, very odd.

Yes that seems to be the sort of weirdness that we are all experiencing

Does it look like this will be fixed today? Or should I just pack in it until tomorrow?

Ah, at least it's not me. I just bought some new items and tried to download them and it was going at the pace of a crippled snail. Hopefully, this will get sorted soon!  The weird thing is, one of the downloads was fine and I was able to download it quite easily but one of them just stays at about 50kbs and since it's several files that are a gig each...yeah that's not getting done :(

Count me in as another with the DIM issues.

DIM just started working again for me.

I wonder if it's based on the file, some of the files on the server are having issues and some aren't.

I just uninstalled another product to test the DIM. It downloaded as usual but the remaining two large partially downloaded files are stuck. I hit resume. Download fails. DIM stays at 0 bs the whole time. I have repeatedly cleared cache and restarted DIM.

Was wondering that as well or maybe from a different server/location. I had a 2 part download last hour. One was 500 Mb and the other 750 MB. The 500 one was completed in 3 seconds, the 750 one has an estimated time of 2 hours or more each of the 4 times I have tried to manually D/L it.

  • DIM is now using a CDN (Cloudflare) to - usually - improve the download experience. As far as can be determined everything is correct on the Daz side so it looks as if these issues are on the Cloudflare side, though the only issue they list (and say is resolved) invovles something called "Argo Tunnel".

That's my experience as well, tried a few different files and they are either their normal super fast speed or they are extremely slow.
