Now to find a way home.  Movie was good.

I am not sure if my taxi is on the way or if I should walk home.  I do not know what to do but this hotspot I am using only gives half an hour for free.

Home now, but group home staff is mad at me for taking a third trip in one day.

...sounds more and more like a prison than a home.

I need good thoughts and prayers as I just applied for a new job.  I am hoping I get it as it is closer to my home.  It is the movie theatre near my house.  The one that I like going to a lot.

I had a strong feeling I had to go to the movies today and hopefully it was a nudge to get this job.  I was approached by a manager who recommended me applying again and I told him about my two things, curfew and limited hours, but hopefully it will work out.

What? Were they happy when you were home, but locked out in the garage while everyone else was gone? Besides, do you have to pass through international customs when you cross the threshold? Does the number of trips you take in a day harm these people somehow? It takes a special kind of person to get mad over every little thing. I just don't have that kind of energy. I don't see how you can stand it there. Sorry about the rant.

Right now someone made a mess in the hallway bathroom and everyone is denying doing it. I do not use that bathroom as there is one that is right next to my room (aka only access to it is through my room)  There is a big commotion about it.

I do not like this place at all.

Non-complaint:  Wheee..., my UPS package has finally arrived.  It literally took me 15 minutes to unpack it from all the foam peanuts, foam sheets, small bubblewrap, large bubblewrap, foam planks, and miles of tape inside the large double thick box container.  It is unbroken, and more gorgeous than I anticipated.  It now sits in the honored place on my display shelf.  Illuminated from behind by high intensity lamps to make it glow and show off it's golden translucence and intricate filigreed carvings.

Upon close personal examination I can see that it is old.  The whole vase is carved from one piece of stone about 10 inches high.  It has minute age cracks, handling wear, and white oxidation and dark amber staining of some of the edges of the cream colored translucent stone (agate? or possibly a marble like stone?).  I can see that there used to be two additional small "handles" or "ears" on the bulbous base part of it but they have been broken off either during creation or during its lifetime, the mounting points show just a small bump where someone has smoothed down the stubs.  But they're not missed.  This piece is beautiful just as it is.

    nice and nice photo

I do not know how to stand it, but I feel like I have no choice to stand it.  It does take a toll on me sometimes, but I try my best.  To be honest I have a guardian (who I like think of a payee or budget coach).  She helps make sure my rent gets paid and to help make sure things are okay.   We are having a meeting Thursday to figure things out.

That is why I am hoping to get this new job so my budget might be better as hopefully the hours would be steady and better.  This is a big confusing mess.  At least I have my guardian and my support team. They listen to everyone and try to figure out what is best for me.

I am trying out a thing that the local movie theater has which allows me to see up to three movies a week for a monthly fee of 20 dollars.

My local cinema does an 'Unlimited Card' - any showing as often as you like for £18 a month. AND a discount on the concessions. (That's about double the price of a Netflix sub) I would average at least one film a week, sometimes two or three. Having said that, thanks to the Summer of Sickness (cellulitis, sepsis, diabetes, hospital, 3 surgeries . . .), I haven't been able to go since early July.

Sorry to hear that.  I hope you are well now.  Last movie Diane and I saw in the theater was on Dec. 31st 2017!

i have found the best way to save money on the theater is to dump the girlfriend. it saves like 75% off the cost of a visit plus I get to actually watch the movie without pondering all the bizzare comments being made during the movie.

...I don't have that option and it's still bloody expensive.

I would but it still would cost as he will want something in return that I might not be ready to give or I think it is worth more than a movie and dinner.

Complaint:  My over-the-counter supplements cost more than my prescribed drugs. frown  I take a multivitamin daily and I take Glucosamine/Condroitin for cartilage repair for my knees.  I always wait for the drugstore to issue a coupon or have a sale (often 2 for 1) on those items but still I freak out when I go to buy them because I buy in the big bottles to get the most bang for the buck.  But those things aren't covered under insurance.  I started out today happy that I was within sight of getting my budget under control next month.  Now after the drugstore visit the light at the end of the tunnel suddenly got a lot dimmer. sad

Non-complaint:  All my prescription drugs are covered significantly by my Medicare drug plan, (so far).   indecision  If I had to pay for them without help I'd be dead 5 years ago. surprise

I called my cardiologist's office to reschedule my appointment.  Their phone system sent me to their voicemail box.  I did not know that the telephone customer service lines close at 4:00 PM.  I thought the lines close at 5:00 like the office.

...to paraphrase a line from an old advert:

"I'm not a  girl, although I play one in RPGs".

Mainly because (sadly) not enough women were involved when I originally got into the pastime and teams/parties tend to be all male characters (sometimes making me feel I was at a frat rush or something like that).  It also gave me a chance to effectively develop characters for my writing from a different perspective (there is one RPG forum I frequent where the members believe I am female, as well as several people over on DA so I guess I am getting it down).

In Fantasy/SF literature, television programmes, and films which spawn many of these games, there are often strong leading female characters (though mine actually are "properly attired" for the job - no chain mail bikinis or "bared belly/open cleavage" security armour).

It also may stem from my upbringing as my mum was expecting a girl (back then there was no surefire way to determine gender before birth) and I grew up barely remembering my father.

Thanks, I'm definitely improving, and glad to be out of the hospital. The biggest worry has been not being able to work, and hence earn money (I'm self employed). Fortunately I don't have to worry about medical costs, thanks to the NHS, so that's one less thing.

...I'd normally say I'll wait until it comes to one of our second run cinemas, but the ones I normally patronise have all gone "first run" fare as well and jacked up their prices. At the one in my old neighbourhood I used to get in for 3$ (senior admission) any time of the day, not just matinees, now it's more like 11$ - 13$.  Crikey for that I used to my ticket, a pint of good beer, and slice of pizza.

Now I have to wait until films come out on Netflix.

I am trying out a thing that the local movie theater has which allows me to see up to three movies a week for a monthly fee of 20 dollars.

i have found the best way to save money on the theater is to dump the girlfriend. it saves like 75% off the cost of a visit plus I get to actually watch the movie without pondering all the bizzare comments being made during the movie.

...I don't have that option and it's still bloody expensive.

then do the opposite, find a guy and go on his dime for free

    KK is a guy!

    And this is a problem?

I just try not to assume anything...maybe you are correct.

I am still not a dude or a guy or anything resembling a male specimen of the human race.

Complaint: My Cocker Spaniel who has been in remission from lymphoma may be coming out of remission. The vet thought she saw some signs and has sent off samples for testing. I can only hope that the tests aren't positive.

    I hope so, too.

31st 2017!

Thanks, I'm definitely improving, and glad to be out of the hospital. The biggest worry has been not being able to work, and hence earn money (I'm self employed). Fortunately I don't have to worry about medical costs, thanks to the NHS, so that's one less thing.

    NHS?

I am hungry complaint.  I did not get lunch due to an issue out of my control (or actually a series of unfortunate events) and now I am hungry.
