Dear creators. There's huge demand for sexualized, drop dead gorgeous Female Genesis 8 characters.

In HTML it's the tag for strike through. I'd suggest using </sarcasm> or /sarcasm to avoid any misunderstandings.
...oddly, I don't even have an account on Reddit and like DaWaterRat have been using it for years.
...I picked up Zev0's Molly for G3 and built a version of my Leela character around her. I think this one looks the best of all.
Oh it's certainly true. Sex sells, after all. It's just that most people in these forums are asking for more sensible, diverse, average looking characters. It took years for us to finally get a little age, weight, and ethnic diversity in the G8 line so to hear someone screaming for more eye candy makes it seem like taking a step backwards. There will always be plenty of barbie and ken lookalikes in the store, no need to worry.
I rarely buy characters anymore. They have to be really special. Otherwise they look the same to me. All with that thousand yard stare and blank face. If you've seen one you've seen it all. I tend to buy Pro Bundles for new characters, but then you're stuck with those same 'throw away' ones that I never use, and every single one in all the bundles has basically the same eyes, same makeup, lips, etc. Useless (to me). I don't usually even download them. I like that for the most part, the bundles come with normal clothes. There's always the odd one, but rarely. If I want really sexy skimpwear, I shop at the 'other' big store. They have great stuff for those renders. Lots of leather, lace, straps, and you get to see everything before buying 'wink wink'. I guess the ppl that want to buy more skimpwear here will be waiting till hell freezes over, cuz it ain't ever gonna happen. Sex does sell, just not here.
That is sarcasm, right? Because there is-plenty of it here at DAZ as well, otherwise I would have nothing to buy, LOL.
One thing I'd love to see, and rarely (if ever) see in the store, is more along the lines of a very cartoonized version of sexy female characters. And I'm talking a more exaggerated, sexualized, cartoonized version of characters, not just another Princess Leia, sword-fighting, dragon/monster/zombie fantasy character. Kinda like a super-sexy female version of the "Toon Generation" style of characters. Along the lines of Jessica Rabbit or something like that. Seems like there's a whole un-tapped universe of character styles and wardrobes that could come out of that.
And no, I'm not talking about specifically another Jessica Rabbit (which, for some reason, seem to come out more realistic in DAZ/Poser character morphs, rather than cartoonish), but rather just using a very cartoon style when developing sexy female characters and wardrobes. And yes, I'm talking about a character who is totally impractical, wearing clothes that are totally uncomfortable and impractical, and shoes that are bad for her feet
If I were to guess DAZ Originals Pro Bundle popularity strictly by the number of posts of forum goers rendering the Pro Bundle characters for us other forum members I'd say that Floyd 8 was most popular followed by Edie 8 followed by Mabel 8 and the rest I'm not so sure of.
If you count follow up posts long after the the Pro Bundle is released though I'd say the Sakura is the character with the most staying power.
I wonder which of those actually had the most posts though.
i'm beating in sync, with sticks, bats, maces! thanks to the OP for this precious thread.
also my purse is so grateful that with all the chicks of all kind being released vs the minority of hot and/or East Asian G8 males (except for 3 PA "non-official" products), it's not being depleted. the more redundant sexy chicks, the more i have to eat for the month XD
This Might be a Start

Prop it up on fake legs so we can give it another 40 whacks.
No business community will ever stop doing anything that is making money, without someone yanking their chain and tying their hands.
Absolutely true. And it's the same with me I suppose. Once I start working at a job that ends up costing more than I get from income, I'm outta there.
The reasons why have been explained over and over and over again, no amount of forum complaining is going to change the bottom line. You all need to realize that forum goers, especially complainers are the minotity of customers that actually spend money here. This is coming from someone who actually agrees with the notion stated by the OP. Instead of complaining, I have found ways around the problem and I speak with my wallet which is the only thing that really matters.
Just try to fit clothes over an eggagerated bustline and make it look decent.
Agreed. You need to use dynamic cloth sims for any decent fitting on any character, IMO.
My solution to overly sexy outfits and people are bodysuits, shaders, and morph packs. You can use body suits to cover up exposed body parts, then shaders to make the suits blend in with the outfit. I have a lot of morphs for G1 like creature, aging, extraordinary men, body morphs, etc. I can use them to create ugly or just ordinary looking people. I'm building up my morphs for other Gen models, but I could just transfer the morphs if I need to. I haven't tried it yet, but SickleYield has a tutorial on how to do it. I also use clones so I can fit coloths on different gen models.
Her body reminds me somewhat of Star, but def not the head/face. She's really a great looking character!
https://www.daz3d.com/red-rabbit-bundle Just use a more 'toon' base, like The Girl 6 and a good toon-like shader (and some morphs from 'rotica. Though a few additional characters that are more pre-made for this kind of stuff wouldn't be bad. Like from the movie "Heavy Metal" or just about any of Bakshi's adult stuff. It is a remarkably untapped market, given the propensitiy for NVIATWAS-style stuff.
HAHAHAAHA..."NVIATWAS"...I had to look that up
I never knew that was a thing, but yeah, it's definitely a thing. Although my version is more like PLSFDMZ ("Princess Leia, sword fighting, dragon, monster, zombie").
I speak with my wallet as well, and the language it speaks is go to the 'other' store for the super sexy clothes that I've never seen here from 2004 to present. Most of the stuff here that's deemed sexy looks mostly like bra and panties, or an average skimpy bikini (to me)...your mileage may vary. But nothing I deem hard core and on the verge of another level of sexy is ever gonna be here.. For those types of renders I often do, I go down the road to the 'other' store. OOT pushes the envelope here for lots of cleavage and some exposed side upper thigh.
LeatherGryphon, tkdrobert and probably others talk about beating the dead horse. I absoluely agree. It's never going to change their business model. So why bother to keep beating the horse. As long as we lemmings keep marching to the cliff, they'll keep on doin' what they're doin', which is watching us spend thousands of dollars and rubbing their hands together like Jacob Marley from all the money they're making. The good thing is, we have options to fill the gap in their market.
Yep, it's been a thing for a while.....hence why we have an acronym for it.
Good skimpwear products include separate parts so you can kitbash with them. But some skimpwear is simply skimpwear.
A simple look at groups on DeviantArt for Poser/Daz/3D art will show a HUGE number of daily postings of nudes/near-nudes/NVIATWAS-style renders. Maybe 5% of the images being posted are normal or at least appropriate clothing and realistic proportions. That's what a LOT of the customers use it for. Doing anything more requires more creativity and more work.
Um wow, she's tall and skinny! Actually, she reminds me of the BJD aesthetic, Dollchateau especially. (You'll have to Google that yourself, if you're curious. Their site is NSFW-ish.)
