Great job Scorpio. He looks great. I admit the problem with the hands is a big one. It seems to worsen for me when I add other morphs.

    Thanks for watching.

The curtain is from Sveva (by Rero).

I forgot but here he is. It's unmorphed Brandon in great Elvis clothing.

Not at all keen on Dwayne.  But, with a few butchifications (still needs work), here's my version of Brandon...

Looking good! Is it wrong that the first thing that popped into my head when I saw him was "The Jean Genie"by Bowie?

Brandon mixed with several Marcius characters plus dial spun to make him less blocky.

Wow, that morph looks great! First one I've seen that I liked... Unfortunately I don't own any Marcius characters. Yet.

Thanks @wonderland  I love Marcius' characters and they mix/play well with other characters, giving them a toonie look when desired.

I wanted to see how well Brandon responded to cel-shading.

EDIT: Forgot to say, I cleaned up the lines around the mouth a little bit in post.

Brandon as Tarzan with some tweaks to his nose and mouth, for a render I'm working on for later. I love his body and his profile is gorgeous. He really should have been the base, not just an add-on. IMO.

Took a lot to make Branden less toony.  Still looks strange to me.  I don't know how much I really will get out of him

He looks fine to me. I thought the biggest oddity was his sharply angular jaw to the chin and it looks like you've addressed that in making him more realistic.

Both he & Jonas are in that grey area of more details than expected for a toon but too oddly proportioned to be a realistic model. It's a very fine line that has to be walked o since i see such character toons as realistic looking I do things when I use them like make the hands & feet 25% bigger and the head 10% bigger and that helps toon them up for me (but they still do look too realistic oftentime even after such changes). I mean they do have more details then actual photo do often times.

He is a nice guy. yes

  • Dying to get Dwayne, but the discount matrix doesn't seem to be kicking in for me. Even when I load up my shopping cart with Add-Ons I don't intend to get, it doesn't seem to kick in. Might anyone have some clues on what I can do to fix that?

Make sure you're grabbing the "add-ons" from the "Top Toon Items", not from the "Add-ons"; you can even add four $2 items that you don't really want, they'll be knocked down to less than a buck each and briing the Pro bundle way down.

Oh, and hurry up, I want to see what you do with this guy. wink

Now, that is useful to me! I don't know what you mean by "a lot," but I could use a guy like that.

I finally figured out what I was doing wrong, thanks to you! As a Toon Head I already had most of the morphing items, so this was a great chance to pick up some of Capsces' Melody 2 items. Installing now! I can hardly wait...

Dwayne is a great addition to my Runtime! I think he'll be the figure that gets me to use G8M more often...

The trick is to not put his morph at 100% because then everyone looks like Popeye (unless that's what you're really going for). With some morph playing, I got this gent. Then I finished him up in pwToon!

Looks great, and I agree, a very useful addition to the G8 Toon/Gene pool.

  • I'm glad I picked it up when I did... the DAZ team seems to have abolished any references to any Dwayne 8 sales for their new promotion!

  • LlynaraLlynara Posts: 4,772

Great work, everyone! Dwayne rocks! But I can't believe his sales were already pulled. Zelara's didn't last the standard two weeks either. Glad I picked up both when I did.
