I have posted a link in the ship section passed on to me by our most talented Catherine. It has a Trek section full of ships as well as ships from almost every Sci-Fi series and movies. I will not link it here but please look at the top of the ships list for the link.

Did you add my work station and backgrounds?

does Poser have cameras with a depth of field option?
I wish that were how Poser did their DOF, the Poser DOF is controlled via an option in the render settings. It is more of a check the box and changed the focal length on the camera you are using to get it.

This is true. I've tried it before and it didn't work out too well.

Have you used the Root Atmosphere Node in the Advanced Material Room?

Here's some renders I tried after kind of randomly adjusting its settings. To get the most out of it, you should have lights casting shadows and a fairly dark background.

The render I did with highly contrasting shadows took quite a while, and it should have higher settings on the Root Atmosphere Node, because I can still see some aliasing.

To be totally honest, I have never touched the atmosphere settings. Looks like I should.

LOL!! It has grown a little bit, hasn't it? Bet there's not another list like it anywhere on the 'net.

    WHOAH! That's fantastic!

Well, thanks to you and Fuzzy Gnome, I've got the haze worked out- I wanted enough to be noticed and still let characters be seen good. Now I need more detail. Anyone know where I can find a gunnery station that's closer to the one in Trek 5 and 6 than the one at Xcal?

Bluto between the Klingon court room and the TOS spacesuit, you're really going to town!

Speaking of suits, I'm finally getting back to the Movie EVA suit. This is done- so far- using the J-suit for V4 that I converted for V3 sometime ago along with flatheeled boots with the shafts turned off and the hands re-texured as gloves. Still have all the nic-nacs to do yet on the sleeves and legs.
Don't know what suit I'll use for the male verison yet.

Here's where I stop for the night. You can see the leg piece and the arm capsules. I'll try to finish her up tomorrow.

I've been applying shaders to the JJ Bridge, going with more TNG style colors.

I'm not a big fan of the layout, the functionality of the setup seems forced. Hell knowing my luck if I was on that bridge, I'd push my chair back too fan and take a tumble down the steps. But DUDE! Your colour scheme may throw me over the edge and have me go and pick this puppy up. I may be asking for you to save the sets Material settings and mailing them in the near future.

Wonder if Rduda would be up for a complimentory bridge set to this one. The Dreadnaughts set. I'm going to venture creative licenceing with that lay out would be accepted by all!

Disregard the short fat kid in the center of the image.

I would do a Dreadnaughts set once I can get enough references to get a somewhat close representation of it. All the textures every one is adding is great!!!

OKay, Bill and everyone, here's what I've arrived at for Jan's EVA suit. I'm going to introduce a color code system to the ship. Female members get yellow suits, male members get red and the officer in charge of the landing party gets the two color suit. That way it's easier to see who's who.

    Comments are always welcome.

Okay, so how do you handle the species who are hermaphroditic or have a third or more sexes? ;-)

    Sincerely,

    Bill

There's value in being able to see at a glance who is in charge, but does it matter what gender each member of the party is? I would think it would be more valuable to have it broken down by specialty, e.g. security, science, etc.

That's true. I'll have to think some more on it. I still need to find a good jumpsuit for the male version, too.

When used in the Sickbay, can anybody tell me 'what' this item was called?

What I'm looking for theoretically was called a "cryogenic storage unit" and fits a long narrow rectangular space in the hallway corridor. If this isn't it, anybody have an image for what it would be?

    Thanks.

Come on down to Honest Eneri's used starship showroom.

At 66 models, (59 ships, 5 docks, and 1 planet (and 6.58Gb of memory used), Poser starts to slow down.

    Any suggestions?

Render one storage dock and ships as a png image. Render the starfield and planet as a background. Combine the two douplicate the dock as many times as you need.

In ST;TNG, This is in the transporter room- just to the right of the platform. All the circutry and isoliner chips are located here.
