Getting rid a of the metadata of something I erased

Hi, I've deleted some content that had metadata. Unfortunately, the smart content tab still shows it when appropriate, though without the icons (as they have been erased). This isn't overly important, and I can work around the problem, but it's quite annoying; does anyone know what I can do to get rid of these phantom references?

The only way I know of is to reset your database (save your User Data first), and then reimport everything again (including the User Data). A bit over the top to just remove one reference.

Try right-clicking and selecting the Show Asset In>Categories option, then right-click there and select Remove Reference.

Thank you both. In my setup, I'm not seeing the "show in categories" option, but manually browsing allowed me to remove the reference--now my OCD can go to town on these things.
